alexaalto Posted February 10 Posted February 10 They should do the opposite of End Of Time and release a radio edit with Ammunition, the outro is jarring the song.
Truth Teller Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Ammunition is one of her best songs ever. Glad it's on some playlists. I hope it's a single after You Love Who You Love (and I'm rooting for the latter to take off a bit). Although I see the title track on the global NMF and NMF UK (on low positions, at that). Odd choice. I heard a bit of this and it sounds better than her other albums. Still not great, but there was no reason to expect greatness. It's more consistent, it flows better, the individual songs are solid and the fact that it was made with fewer people and not just random demos Epic could gather definitely helped a bit.
unino Posted February 10 Posted February 10 (edited) i appreciate her bops but she can't sell me an album. this's not the age of releasing bangers and pray for it to be a hit. this's the age of proper era, proper album. like get your **** together. even the xmas ep is a better project than this. everything is out of place. where's the direction. have some! even if you want to be a mindless pop girlie then be the one. commit to it and be smart with it. Facelessboy Posted February 10 Posted February 10 This album is hands down the worst of the year it’s terrible wow can’t believe what i just listened to what on earth was her team thinking 1 2
Everdeen Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Don’t understand why so many have so strong feelings about this, it’s not that bad as some of you make it seem?
reymiu Posted February 10 Posted February 10 She should release a ballad to gain a more female / adult fanbase IMO. None of the remaining tracks sound like hits, but a song like Nothing could expand her fanbase outside of the strictly pop/dance crowd.

Yea..I think it's just because it's like extreme generic but to each of their own Anyways album grew on me. Still her worst album by a long shot. I will give this a light 7/10 Poster girl 8.2/10 So good 8/10 Imo the album is lacking very high highs that PG & SG had. Except maybe you love who you love and ammunition
original_lifeline Posted February 10 Posted February 10 she somehow managed to put an album which is worse than Poster Girl. she is really over musically since Love Me Land, huh

It is bad though. It only has 2-3 decent tracks. Mind you (decent) not amazing. Everything about this is giving generic filter left overs. She has such a unique voice it’s so unfortunate she isn’t given better quality. She normally has that one standout track but it isn’t here.
Nectarine Posted February 10 Posted February 10 (edited) Venus > So Good > Poster Girl Y'all are LYING to yourselves if you think Venus is her worst album I admit Venus isn't the strongest her work could be and absolutely tapers off in the second half, but I feel like the good songs on this album hit faaaaar harder than the good songs on Poster Girl. The only songs that I remember as standouts on PG are Love Me Land, FFF, and Poster Girl - everything else is forgettable. So Good is a great album, but I fear the good vibes are purely nostalgic. Looking at the track list, the music is so 2017-dated... which isn't bad, but maybe I've played too much of So Good around that time and I'm bored of it now. Obvious hits are Lush Life, Never Forget You, Don't Let Me Be Yours, I Would Like, and Symphony. Meanwhile, Venus has HITS: Can't Tame Her - 9/10 More Than This Was - 8/10 On My Love - 7/10 Ammunition - 9/10 None of These Guys - 10/10, like c'monnnn You Love Who You Love - 6/10 End of Time - 9/10, I never understood the hate for this song Nothing - 5/10, not horrible, but a bit boring Escape - 6.5/10, also not a huge favorite, but when the beat hits it picks itself up a bit Soundtrack - 3/10, this ballad could've been given to any other pop girly and it'd still be meh Venus - 6/10, cute but for the title track I was expecting more, especially since she said this was her favorite song she's ever done on an IG live last year The Healing - 2/10, boring and an odd song to end the album on... this needed to be a banger to close out the album. Most people listen to albums chronologically, so Zara really should've changed the tracklist around to prevent the slower/more boring songs of the record from being at the end to prevent a sour ending... idk. I still enjoy Venus tremendously and the songs that are repeats are huge hits. Edited February 10 by Nectarine 1
SimpleKindofLife Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I’m really liking this album even though I didn’t initially like the singles. She’s needed a better label for years now I’m so tired of her not being promoted properly
djcalpal Posted February 10 Posted February 10 'Nothing' is a career worst for her. It's giving major Japan Bonus Track energy. How is this the best they were able to muster up? I've listened to the album through 3 times now and disappointing would be an understatement. No originality, no point of view, no variety. Utterly forgettable as a body of work.
zararexha Posted February 10 Posted February 10 (edited) None of These Guys You Love Who You Love End of Time all bangers. The rest.. girl c'mon Poster Girl was amazing what happened? The rest is cute and I still very much enjoy but this feels like a downgrade from PG and even SG. Am I wrong?? Edit: I still love Can't Tame her. Edited February 10 by zararexha
The Man Who Posted February 10 Posted February 10 She just performed You Love Who You Love on a UK television show and her vocals and stage presence slayed. Now let me listen to career highlight Nothing again. 1
