BOMT easily, it went #1 in every country it charted in and broke a Guinness World Record for that

It was #5 on Billboard's Year-End and #3 on Europe's year-end

Britney has so many classics so it makes sense BOMT isn't her most streamed, while Spice Girls main classic is Wannabe

Wannabe has more pure sales, has more streams and the album sales are about the same. It was a global smash not a local hit at all.

Well it's their only classic while Britney has multiple so the streams are more spread out :skeleton: Hope that helps

It has more pure sales? Didn't know that

My point was regarding streams - I know it was also a global smash

Both were HUGE and ICONIC.

I'd give a slight edge to Wannabe but almost everyone I know also knows Baby One More Time.

Two Classics though. :alexz:

Idk why people always bring up streams like that's the only metric? Anyway, I think both are equally bigger but I might give BOMT a slight upper hand because of the well known piano riff in the beginning.

Again, both are humungous songs and well known.

Not even you believe BOMT was a local hit.

Wannabe is the best-selling single by a girl group, so I don't get your point.

Baby and LAP are both staples of their decades and were extremely controversial yet everyone knows them today decades later 🤷‍♀️

I mean, look at baby’s power, it’s got you so bothered in every Britney thread even though you’ve had an account here for 20 years.

BOMT is at 5.3m physicals and 1.6m digital while Wannabe is at 5.05m physicals and 2.4m digital. Wannabe sold a bit more and is also more remembered.

Where did I say it was a local hit. Please re-read it.

They are both iconic and timesless, but 'Wannabe' is Spice Girls signature, so it feels more popular... whereas Brit's is 'Toxic'
