professor2000 Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 It's crazy to me how people think she has a boring personality…she was so cute in this. I think she opens up more when she's around people she trusts. Same was true for Rihanna when she first started too. Her earlier interviews were …lol….but she came alive somewhere between AGLM and GGGB. 1
Virgos Groove Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Really strong debut album. (Should've sneaked in Girl Next Door, tho.) 1 4
kishi Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Learning to get over the omission of Disco, the album is solid. However, what is happening with Truth Or Dare? I hope it's going to receive a push!
ZORBIT Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 I came into this album with no expectations and Ms Tyla did not disappoint! Since I found her from Been Thinking, she hasn't missed really Loved playing this at the beach; She put something in Art cause I keep going back to it 1

Jay L Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Jump is coming Truth or Dare deserved better but I hope her label/team sends Jump to radio asap because the GP has chosen this bop 4
4RCH1M3D35 Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 TOD is not going to happen. Jump is The One. Has lots of crossover appeal. Been bumping that on repeat since release. 1

dangerousbutera Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 been playing this album a lot, so obsessed with Jump

Domination Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 TOD is such a stupid song, lyrically. No clue why they thought THAT was the single. Anyway, I neeeeed a 6 min mix of To Last where the beat goes harder 3
Automatic Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Jump surpassing ART's overall streams is a ki. I know her team feels silly 3

This might be delusional, but I still think On and On could have it's moment as a single an urban/rhythmic radio hit in the US at least 1

And I played "To Last" OUT before the album even dropped. But it's hitting me again.
Facelessboy Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 The way she disappeared during and after her album release should be studied 1

professor2000 Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 The more I sit with this album, the more I feel like she's more musically like Aaliyah than Rihanna. If Aaliyah did Afrobeats, it would literally sound like this. Lol. Shes just marketed like a Rihanna. 1
Alex Posted April 7, 2024 Author Posted April 7, 2024 I need her team to get it together and find a way to make Safer a smash hit 2
professor2000 Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 (edited) @Facelessboy there are Aaliyah-isms all over that album. In fact, Tyla admitted in an interview that "Rock The Boat" inspired "Water.” So she's definitely a fan. Edited April 7, 2024 by professor2000
X~MoviePoP Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 So shes scheduled to perform during the summer right..i hope shes fully healed
