A gay anthem is a popular song that has become widely popular among, or has become identified with, the gay community, although some of these songs have also become anthems for the wider LGBT community. The biggest examples being I'm Coming Out and I Will Survive. According to Wikipedia, there are 23 gay anthems of the 2020s so far. 

 

What song is your favorite gay anthem from this list? Are there any songs missing? Any surprise entries?

This list is very… lacking. How did only one of Lil Nas X’s hits make it? I’d consider voting for That’s What I Want if it were here. MUNA’s absence is glaring. Jessie Ware? So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings? 
 

 

Best songs are Physical, Padam, Rush, but voting for anything but Renaissance is nearly indefensible.

Honestly while it's not the best song per say in isolation, but to me an anthem doesn't exist in isolation. An anthem is a moment that sort of takes over the community and becomes something that people talk about and bond over. I don't think any of these songs got into the community and became a moment like Padam Padam did, so I picked it.

there are so many more though that deserve some sort of spotlight... like Jessie Ware's Spotlight, Perfume Genius' Jason, and Kesha's Only Love Can Save Us Now. I'd argue that I Believe by Caroline Polachek and Contact by Kelela both have potential to function as gay anthems as well tbh
