Pitch Perfect is a great example. I think any movie that immediately gets shoved down people’s throats and praised to the high heavens as an instant classic are not going to age well. Those parody Fat Amy Twitter didn’t help!

Some people forcing weird ideas for sake of being weird as a positive evolution of horror as we know it as if directors like Ti West haven’t demonstrated that core horror can be done both classically and freshly within “normal” genre’s cannon.
