you shouldn't have posted BEYONCÉ and ANTI as examples. they belong to the new, current era of the music. not to OLD, PAST, DATED, AGED era. so the Madonna and Janet Jackson maybe, but not the others.

You really, really like posting anything controversial on this site, uh?

No, it depends on what artist we're talking about of course, but current big scene of pop music isn't mainly influenced by Lady Gaga. they are mainly influenced by legends such as Lana Del Rey, Fiona Apple, Kate Bush, Frank Ocean, Bowie, Kanye, etc. We have past the time of your faves. Time is fast, and it has been years. Lady Gaga isn't currently influencing anyone with “The Fame Monster”. Of course she had a huge impact in the past, and influenced many, but not now.

Bad Bunny:

Olivia Rodrigo:

Cardi B:

Taylor Swift:

And before I get people  shouting ''BUT THEIR MUSIC SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE GAGA'S!!!!'' because that's literally such a predictable answer, you can be influenced by an artist in many different ways. Just because they choose not to make their album sound like TFM or BTW doesn't mean they weren't inspired by their career, by their performance style, by their general attitude in which they move through the music industry. Influence isn't black and white like that :toofunny3:

Bad Bunny, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift were all praising her in the links you posted, they didn’t say anything about being influenced by her

Okay. Link me where artists say they were directly influenced by Lana. Show me the sources that state they wanted their music to specifically sound like Lana. Quickly.

Its definitely bigger and better than all of them combined. No one is making tik toks of songs from Ray of Light. But Monster, bad romance, telephone etc continue to dominate the halloween

Ray of light has influenced countless artists including adele. That album and it's sound remains classic.

It's not a meltdown at all luv. I explained in my post that ''being influenced by'' doesn't always mean that their music has to sound exactly like the artists they are praising. They can be influenced/inspired by their career as a whole as well. You stan Lana, so I'm asking for sources where people directly say they were influenced by Lana's music to the point they wanted their music to sound like hers. Seems like you can't do it, that's okay!

Crediting an artist as an influence is not the same as saying you want your music to sound like theirs, don’t be dense :rip:

OT: Yes, TFM marked a shift in both pop music and culture and inspired all the girls to up their game at the time. A modern classic.

That’s nice and all but the links you provided didn’t show those artists claiming inspiration from Gaga in any way at all, simple praise does not equal inspiration so please keep your fanfiction to yourself.

Olivia Rodrigo was talking about the musical lessons she learned from Lana, Billie posted an Instagram story about how Lana created her, Lorde credited her as an inspiration for Pure Heroine, and Taylor has mentioned Lana’s influence on her as well.

You tried and failed :rip:

There are countless more ones but i'm busy right now, if I find 1 Gaga influence link per these artists, it's 20 links just for Lana :rip:

You're really gonna praise a writing camp'd album?

Gaga would never be so inauthentic.

In terms of impact and sales TFM surpasses them all.

It's concept is also more developed than all except for maybe ROL.

ST and ANTI both have more impressive production and composition (but they're writing camp'd so...)

Imagine thinking not :toofunny3:
