Is Cologne/Body Spray A Turn Off?

Recommended Posts

I just never like when a man smells like cologne. I don’t get the need for a heavy cologne, body spray or perfume to mask his natural scent. We already employ body washes, soaps, and deodorants so when I smell cologne or perfume I just don’t like it at all. What do you think?

and they wonder why men are constantly judged for taking care of their appearance or caring about things like this. using cologne and body spray is the hottest thing a man can do.

It depends on the person wearing the scent. Perfumed/colognes/body oils all interact differently with people’s body chemistry.

Good hygiene is great. But cologne? Nah.

No. I love the smell of a good cologne.

A hot man passing by with a good scent >>>>>>>. I just want to sniff him all night.

No. It’s very attractive for a man to smell nice. Shows he at least has good hygiene.

Cologne/perfume is a great enhancer when used appropriately.

No, it's an aphrodisiac.mp3 if anything. There's nothing hotter than a guy that smells good :allears:

Never been in a situation where it was anything but a turn on :pancake:

I love men who wear a good cologne.

if you're wearing axe body spray or Dior sauvage that's a turn off, obviously.

It depends on what cologne you're using

I live in a city where some of the men douse themselves in cheap cologne to the point where I can smell them from miles away. It stems from the fact that Torontonians are hyper-sensitive to others' hygiene, so some people go overboard with cologne just to be safe. It's honestly disgusting.

Like if BO is your worry, just wear deodorant :rip:

Oof this one is a war crime :rip:

OT: How dare you. Good manners and good perfume are what make a lady or a gentleman. Good perfume is wearable art. Sadly the masses are artless, ignorant sheep who wouldn't know a fine perfume if it shoved a fist up their ass. Body spray, however, is for guttersnipes.

Why are you always judging someone?

OT: It's great as an add-on with someone who washes. If they are using it to get around bathing, then it's awful.

No, it's a turn-on (only when it's good perfume, obviously).

this is oddly specific but you GET IT, I get the same feeling when I smell someone that wears Aqcua Di Gio or Polo Black

it's an assault on the olfactory senses.

Good manners are great, but I don’t want a gentleman in the bedroom, I want to sniff those pits and get a fresh hit of male pheromones.

Is it judging someone to say you don’t like cologne?

It's a turn-off only when it's a very heavy smell. My personal preference is no cologne at all, odorless deodorant and a subtle smell of fabric conditioner. It shows effortlessness but I know the hygiene is in tact too.

No, my bf wears a classy cologne and I love the little whiff of it I get from his t-shirts when I’m doing laundry :giraffe:

there’s also a coworker that wears one that always turns my head

Then you apparently have something against deodorant, not cologne :rip:

So then tell your dates to run a mile beforehand and not shower? :priceless:
You want to smell pits but are fine with deodorant? Sis you’ll just be smelling their deodorant :rip:
