Nicki was too contemporary for Aretha, no need to disrespect Nicki's talent. At the end Aretha was just a person with subjective taste (clearly in favor of vocal divas singing RnB/blues/soul/ballad pop) and that's understandable, it doesn't take away from Nicki or Taylor.
