sunbathinganimal Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 What are some albums that you didn't enjoy when they came out as much as you might have because you didn't feel like they were released at the right time of the year? An obvious example is Solar Power, which was released right as summer was ending (if you live in the northern hemisphere). 1
sunbathinganimal Posted October 18, 2023 Author Posted October 18, 2023 I can't belive Alan Palomo released World of Hassle in September when it's so clearly a summer album 2
WildAmerican Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Chemtrails is SUCH an August album released in March, make it make sense lanita 3
sunbathinganimal Posted October 18, 2023 Author Posted October 18, 2023 (edited) Windswept Adan by Ichiko Aoba is another one that feels like it should have come out over the summer (was released in December ) Edited October 18, 2023 by sunbathinganimal
KOMH Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Speak Now (Taylor's Version) in the middle of the summer. A tragedy. No wonder it's BARELY outstreaming Red a few months later. 1
Relampago. Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana being released as the holidays are about to start but being a trap album that’s mostly about beef and celebrity status 1
Jotham Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 COTCC being released in spring despite it being a fall/late summer album, and BB being released in the fall despite being an early summer album come to mind. 1
sunbathinganimal Posted October 18, 2023 Author Posted October 18, 2023 Carrie and Lowell gives me such strong autumn/winter vibes but was released in March 1
Heldenzeit Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 1989 (TV) coming in the END of October when all it screams is early summer? Mento illness 3

Mento illness It's the same thing she did with the original version, she released it in the fall even though it gives summer vibes. I swear if she botches Reputation TV next year and releases it in the spring or something I will riot. 2
Orsay Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Artpop being released basically during the holidays 3 1
FENTY. Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Rihanna’s LOUD released in November. Hell even Talk That Talk doesn’t fit the fall season

Johnny Jacobs Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Rihanna with her late fall yearly releases Late spring was better

She really should have released Speak Now in October (though I think its more of a spring album for me) and 1989 back in July... but I know she's very set on dates. Lil Mxnster Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Caroline's Desire was so early summer or even mid September but not early this year
