vale9001
In the almost 20 years of her already legendary career Taylor Swift has been recognized for her music legacy and artistry (first female and only 4th artist to win AOTY at the Grammys 3 times) and her massive impact of course on charts but also in the music industry rules and policies. One of the aspects she has been focused more in the last years, when in the others already cited areas is almost impossible to even get bigger and more impactful, was trying to create a legacy in the live performance field can put her in the same zone of the others greatest. If music critics already called The eras tour one of the best produced and esecuted pop shows of all time it's not different for movie critics. The Eras tour has been receveid with incredible acclaim and Swift craftship has been unanimously defined of absolute top level. From the reviews Alonso Duralde Those not already versed on Swift showmanship are likely to come away very impressed Ross Bonaime a tremendous concert film. Swift is a powerhouse as artist, musician and performer. Lina Das Unless you're a devoted fan concert films can be a dreary experience but the sheer spectacle end energy of Swift concert are enough to convert the most rabid anti. Peter Howell the energy on display is astonishing as it infectious. Mike McGranaham Stands with Talking Heads Stop Maing sense and Prince Purple Rain in capturing what makes a specific artist special. Peter Sobczynski Some rock stars struggle to make the charisma of their live appareances show up on camera. Not Swift Angie Han What a concert is...Swift creates the best pop experience you can get Dallas King One of the most immersive concert films ever shot. Joey Magidson an electic despiction of a performer and artist at the top of her game. Fruity
I mean it’s definitely another indicator of Taylor’s overwhelming success atm but I don’t think this really adds to her legacy beyond the huge success of the tour itself which is already a huge thing. It will likely be the first tour to cross 1b dollars which is a much more recognisable achievement.
Feanor
'The Eras Tour' basically solidified Taylor's music as the most iconic discography since the original music titans (MJ/Queen/Beatles etc). The movie will immortalize this for generations to come. In a way, it's the most important thing she has ever done in her career, since it summarizes the first 17 years of it in an engaging and thrilling package that people will look back to in order to understand Taylor's status and importance in culture & society in the 21st century. And in my opinion, one of the most exciting part in all of this is the fact that Taylor's story is still unfinished. In 10-15 years, there might be a need for a second Eras-like project to highlight all that she's about to achieveIn the future, cause right now the sky is the limit for her. We are in for a lot of exciting years from her. Edited October 15, 2023 by Feanor
