Boring. Also her music is childish. The acclaim makes no sense to me and gp isn't feeling it. She will need to revamp her image in future and music as well.

‘’GP isn’t feeling it’’ it’s getting 11.7M streams daily :deadbanana2:

her happier than ever era... only fanbase clown it as greatest sophomore of all time.

OT: forgettable fillers

I like at least half of it

some of the ballads drive it back

I think that it may be better than Sour?

at least it is more consistent in delivering listenable songs..while Sour maybe has higher highs?

One thing I really dislike is about the song Teenage Dream

it takes too long to reach the culmination..and that is the Best Part (a great part too). It would've been fine if the part before it, was more listenable..but most of the times - it's a bit boring.

Anyways..I still use the tracks that I like.

Sour was doing better right? And many old albums are outstreaming it. It is clear downfall from sour. She needs to change for next era

Sour was an anomaly, every album that would have come after a debut so massive like that would have looked like an underperformance :toofunny3:

GUTS debuted with more first week units in both the UK and US. Her fanbase is growing, and we all know that's how you win in the end

So it is still under performance. She shouldve grown with second era..

Vampire wasn't hit as any of sour's two massive singles and streams this time are not impressive. Agree to disagree. You can't force your opinion on me

Billie's second album performed worse than WWAFA as well and it's still charting despite none of the singles being monster smashes (except for HTE the song). In the streaming era longevity >>>> quick peaks. Let's see how the album does in a year

Unless she pulls a dsam which is double digit seller now. My opinion is on current performance. If it does great in long run, then great. Right now it underperformed

I love the album, lyrically and maturity vise it's such an upgrade from SOUR, (Sour is also great and the singles were epic but also it basically revolved around one topic only aside from Hope Ur Okay, Brutal and JJ)

I can't believe people are being so negative about it here, if you liked her style and songwriting during Sour there's no reason to say GUTS is boring or full of fillers  Making the Bed, logical, grudge, Teenage Dream, Vampire - all fantastic ballads

she is also a lot funnier on the uptempo singles she released, Lacy is also such an interesting song

it's fine. i kind of wanted more. sour hit harder for me.

Bad idea right is the only song that stuck with me and I don’t really use it that much either, and it seems the GP agrees generally

Way too similar to Sour, but worse. Uninteresting, frontloaded era unfortunately. Hopefully she comes with something new and fresh for her next project.

I only use the 3 singles. The rest is not my cup of tea.

Sour has the stronger Big 3, but I think Guts is stronger holistically.

Both are kinda disposable aside from each album’s Big 3 though.

A grower

ballads like TD and TG are hitting now :gaycat7:

It needs more ballads. I really dislike this pop-rock sound, unfortunately.

Major upgrade from Sour. Great album.

This, I never really got into 'SOUR' outside of a few songs, it was too tween girl'd for me. 'GUTS' has no skips. Interesting to see that's not the general consensus here since most of us aren't teenage girls.

On first listen I didn’t like it but now I’m obsessed and prefer it over Sour.

A top 3 album for me this year along with Lana and Doja. Pretty Isn’t Pretty is also one of my favorite songs from this year. She ate Sour up!

Listened to it after a couple of weeks and it hit harder than ever. Really good album.
