TOP 50: DRAKE'S DOGS HAS ITS DAY

Drake's For All the Dogs (OVO/Republic) opens at #1 on the HITS Top 50 with 410k. His eighth studio album debuts with the biggest streaming week of 2023, earning 500m+. FATD gives House Lipman its 22nd week at #1 this year.

Rounding out the Top 5 are Big Loud/Mercury/Republic's Morgan Wallen, Alamo's Rod Wave, Geffen's Olivia Rodrigo and Warner's Zach Bryan.

Other top entries include Junior H's $ad Boyz 4 Life II (Rancho Humilde/Warner Latina) at #13 and NCT 127's Fact Check (SM/Virgin) at #20.

Streeting this week are new titles by Rimas' Bad Bunny, Capitol's Troye Sivan, BIGHIT/Republic's TOMORROW X TOGETHER, QC/Motown/Capitol's Offset, Big Machine's Riley Green and Darkroom/Polydor's Holly Humberstone as well as an EP by Interscope's boygenius.

See the full chart here. Suddenly, we're in the mood for a hot dog.

tanked, less than Utopia, 200k less than CLB. he is indeed on his way OUT. his next album will do sub-300k and then he'll fade into a legacy act

Republic Records about to have 4 of the 5 biggest debuts of the year after '1989 (TV)'… :deadbanana4:

Too bad he's uninterested in getting physicals ready with release. Still good #s.

This is actually better than I expected. I was thinking something like 350k.

How is 400k+ a commercial failure? Only 4 artists could match this. :rip:

Save the lashings for when he'll do below 200k.

He keeps releasing again and again. Given his releasing rhythm, there's absolutely nothing bad here. :deadbanana4:

It's a decline for sure. But if you can hit at least 300k first week, you're a-list.

This is the new climate. But these predictions may be adjusted lower I feel. The shock value of the disses are getting old.

I get that ppl here don't like Drake, but calling 400k a flop is a take you'd only find on ATRL.

First of all his last album was Honestly, Nevermind which opened with 204,000 copies. So this is a major increase. Idk what you mean by proper.

Also Evermore opened with 500,000 less than Folklore. Is Taylor over / a bomb?

Interesting cuz this forum will have you believe that Taylor is only successful due to constant new releases. Seems like it doesn't work for every artist...

While I agree with your message, this comparison makes no sense as the album was missing physicals (Taylor's biggest force).

This isn't that bad at all actually, I wonder how much more it would've been if he had physicals included.

How are those numbers bad? :skull:

Utopia had physicals unlike Drake

ATRL members are something else. I don't even like Drake but based on some posts here only Taylor does great numbers and the rest are flops :deadbanana2:
