ANTisocial Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 As we've seen in RWT, she put on a more vocal-heavy approach than synchronized choreography due to a rumored foot injury. Do you think she's done with FWT-level choreography? Or will it come back for the ACT ii tour?
giRLbye. Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 (edited) Hopefully she is Edited October 5, 2023 by giRLbye. 2 1
Devin Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Vocals >>>> Choreo Renaissance AND Lemonade’s music and theme didn’t require intense choreo lol. 8
Big Bad Wolf Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Beyonce's 42. With an injury, this isn't a bad thing. We will experience this. Still one of the best performers of all time Plus, performance is about way more than choreo. 3 2
SoJro101 Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 I'd rather her sacrifice movement for vocals regardless. She saaaanngg this tour - that live album is about to be top tier 6 3
Odette Violet Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 choreography is only 2nd to her. She's a Singer first so I wouldn't mind her toning them down. 2 1
ThisNihilist Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 (edited) Beyonce is doing better than better ever was babe Edited October 5, 2023 by ThisNihilist 1
unclefloprry Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 tbh I prefer this Beyoncé who is in touch with her audience and has fun on stage. 10
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Whatever she's doing for RWT she needs to come doing, it was the best concert I've ever seen 2
jakeisphat Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 She did say that after Beychella she would never go that hard again. I think the foot injury rumors are off though. I think her actual injury was to her knee. Chris Martin mentioned that she told him she had a knee problem from performing and then at the 2023 Grammys, she was seen with 3 scars on her right knee that were consistent with arthroscopy surgery for a meniscus tear. If this is true, I would really hope she is done with the harder choreography because she has already proven herself time and time again and Beychella can't be topped. 3 2
Likingstars Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 She needs to include DrIL on that live album i need to hear that riffs on a daily basis 4
Mr. Mendes Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 I think it would probably be smart to. We've seen what happens when people push beyond the natural slow down point when it comes to things like this. Madonna I think is a great example of what can happen if you keep going too hard for too long. Her hip injury has changed the way she moves forever, and she can't undo that unfortunately. That's not to say she can't dance at all now--the reports from her tour rehearsals say otherwise--but she's fundamentally altered the way her body works forever now. Unfortunately, a lot of female artists as they age feel the pressure to keep up or be forgotten and they end up pushing their bodies too far for too long. Beyonce maybe has realized what the downsides to overdoing it with a body that's already taken a lot of strain and reportedly some injury from her years of intense choreography and decided it's better to tone it down and continue touring than overdo it and risk it all crashing down. 1

Fleahive Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 People really over exaggerated her “lack” of dancing on the tour. I have avoided all clips and waited until my show to see how it was and she surpassed my expectations. Maybe she was more lightweight at the European shows but the final shows in USA she went hard as she always does. She did more arm movements than leg work but it still felt like a Beyoncé performance with a twist. 6

I think some people don't realize that her going at 50% or 75% of her power is still more than what most of these younger chicks do on stage. She'll be fine, especially with the voice and presence that she has. 1
FreeXone Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 She’s athletic and keeps in shape. She’ll be like Jlo. Still slaying in her 50s.
LittleStarmen Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Yes she barely moves in this tour. huge stage and she stays at the same place. dissappointing 1 5

_love_pop_girls_ Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 You're acting like she turned the RWT into a Lana Del Rey concert or something... did you not see I'm that girl, cozy ETC...
@michael Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 It’s still the greatest show I’ve seen so I don’t think she needs the choreo 2 1
BnPac Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 I went to the show and she danced but yes, there was no hard choreography or long elaborate ones ala Homecoming. I think both sides of her are good. I love when she sings her ass off, I love when she dances and I love when she does both at the same time. For me RWT was really satisfying, it's now my favorite concert next to TBE. To answer the question, we really can know yet. Maybe it's temporary, maybe she decided to slow on the dancing forever, we'll just know as time progresses. 2
BGKC Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 (edited) Her every move on stage is rhythmically carried, even when she speaks it’s with rhythm. Her body rolls, shoulder pops, struts and hair flips, as simple as they are, are heavily seasoned. The foot work she’s done for decades in stilettos was just an added bonus, but I feel all of that can take a back seat so that her rich vocals can take the forefront. Nothing is lost. Mitsouko Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Honestly I didn’t miss the hardcore dancing at all this tour, and probably wouldn’t have noticed its absence had people not mentioned it.
