MoonGoodandHappy Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 (edited) I mean we had so many masterpieces Incredible. Edited October 1, 2023 by MoonGoodandHappy
PopKills Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 (edited) 2017 gave us reputation, Double Dutchess, Witness and The Ride so that was a moment. 2018 was horrible. Edited October 1, 2023 by PopKills 1

jesus del rey Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 No. The run from 2009 to 2012 is way better and more iconic. 9
KillingYourCareer Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Easily the worst... the trends were horrid. Trap domination, all those empty-sounding instrumentals, the high-pitched sounds, the post-chorus drops that sounded like autotuned farts... 8 1
Relampago. Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Some of those albums are good but those 2 years are easily some of the worst years ever in popular music It’s shocking to see how hard it turned around in 2020-present
Kiss It Better Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 2017 was the best year in music so yes, 2018 however was the worst year in music
midnightdawn Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 2010/11 was better. The pop girls were actually all working hard, releasing, promoting, and getting sales and relevance.
queenoftheclouds Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 2017 was a great year for music but 2018 was Kind of Low
Carter Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 when you say 2017 masterpieces, i think of these 2
Carter Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Just now, Carter said: when you say 2017 masterpieces, i think of these ✨ mind you this era inspired a whole tv show, how iconic methinks ✨
Trent W Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 The releases in the OP were great, but couldn’t save those years Honestly 2017-2018 was the worst period of the century so far Too much trap and mumble rap everywhere. It ruined the music industry In 2019 things got a lot better.
abelfenty Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 2017 was crap. However 2018 was phenomenal. Isolation, Golden Hour, Invasion of Privacy, Dirty Computer, Lost & Found. That’s 5 10/10s alone
Bloodflowers. Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 2017 we got Sign of the Times by Harry Styles and Malibu by Miley Cyrus, two of the best songs from 2010s! Dusk till Dawn by Zayn and Sia also Top 3 song, easily the holy trinity! Guys My Age by Hey Violet started charting, Shakira releasing Clandenstino, Dua Lipa dropping her debut album, Rita Ora releasing Phoenix, Bebe Rexha dropping Expectations, Kylie Minogue dropping Golden, it was also the years for me when I was discovering 90s music and got into Hole, Sheryl Crow, Jewel, etc. Overall it was a...

GraceRandolph Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 It was one of the weaker portions of the 2010s actually. I always found some of the fan favorites from this era overrated too.
Wicked Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 No. 2016 was the best year of the decade though.
