Taylor’s impact? :rip: Taylor is not the first to release anything in AMC.. Spice Girls, U2, Katy Perry just to name a few. I know you Taylor fans are brain dead but yeah :ahh:

Not you being this loudly wrong :rip: They’re referring to AMC Theaters as the distributor itself, not the theater chain :priceless:

I will open a thread comparing it to A Star Is Born box office numbers. It will be a hit :bird:

Who is even going to compare it to that?

Ot: I see this is going to be a trend now but it won't work for most people

Not only will that be Taylor impact if Bey also bypasses studios for AMC but if she also makes it only Weekend event

The box office will be crazy :ahh:

The desperation to be impactful is crazy :ahh:

It’s the visuals for sure. Beyoncé isn’t going to release tour film so close without putting the effort into it. It’s  obvious that the visuals aren’t a string of videos and there’s some type of plot line to them. It’s too many hints detailing bits and pieces of the plot.

I honestly dont think this will do well.

The Coldplay concert did less than $10M. I don’t think they are expecting every project to open with $100M but surely they’ll be happy with whatever they can get.

I don’t think Taylor’s deal is exclusive to AMC tho. The Cinemark and the Regal in my city are showing it just like AMC. The indie movie theater is also showing it

Well yes, she is also working with global theater chains too.

What seperated Taylor's release from other releases was that she negotiated her deal with theater chains like AMC, Cinemark, Regal etc. directly when the norm is negotiating distribution deals with Hollywood studios like every other artists do.

That move even created backlash from Studios

Taylor Swift 'angers' major studios after working directly with AMC Theatres amid strikes

How Taylor Swift's Dad Created the Game-Changing Eras Concert Film

How Taylor Swift's Eras movie beat Hollywood at its own game

And looks like her move is already impacting the industry and other artists are starting to follow her way of negotiating with theater chains

Not Beyonce taking inspiration from Taylor :jonny5: well at least her fans finally getting visuals, it probably wouldn't even have seen the light since none of streaming services want that

Awesome. Her second stanbase should also buy tickets to see what a real performer looks like.

That would be wise!

that fan base is keeping up with Beyoncé so closely, my god :dies: the obsession. Taylor Swift should partner with Better Help like Ariana Grande did next.

OT: I think if visuals are indeed coming to theaters in Nov. 2023, that might suggest act II rollout possibly kicking off in October/November. I've been saying it for a while now, but I don't see any other reason to hold the visuals hostage for so long. either the visual release will be the start of the next era, or the music will precede the visuals.

Beyoncé is about her business. Best offer/opportunity she will take

Considering that almost all of streaming services rejected the visuals, i don't think she had many options

They’re distributed by AMC, first time AMC work as a distributor for any film or concert film for that matter.

This is the best possible chain of events during the SAG strike so instead of going on the who did it first or better let’s clap at them actively avoiding these abusive studios :giraffe:

Late November is a horrible time to release anything. Way to much competition.
