I definitely see some bad eggs on both sides but some of the things y’all say about Bey are insane. Just on this page alone people are calling it embarrassing, a flop, she should make an Amazon Prime deal, etc. And imo that’s way worse than saying Tay is copying someone (which, idk how that would even be brought up, they’re both wildly different). 

 

For the record I’m a Swiftie and a Hive, I attended both of their tours and had a blast at both. I have been loving the re-recording era and Midnights, as well as Renaissance. The one thing that’s ruining it for me is the constant fighting over nothing because both of these ladies are repeaking over a decade in their careers and all that ever gets brought up is how everyone is a flop compared to Taylor. I wanted to come in here and express how excited I was to get tickets for this film because I get to see 2 of my favorite shows ever again, but I’m met with the same damn argument over and over again. It’s worse than Cardi vs Nicki cause at least that’s kind of funny watching people argue over girls who are lowkey flopping atm, but Bey and Tay are stomping on everyone yet we still have the same arguments over and over.

No cause like… I don’t even get the argument anymore. It’s a known fact that Taylor is on a level of her own success-wise and none of her contemporaries can compare. She’s just a force that can’t be stopped. Her success atm is only really comparable to The Beatles and MJ. That’s amazing, and it’s so exciting to see that type of mania in my lifetime because I always wondered what it was like and it’s also happening to one of my fave artists ever. 

 

But damn, I can’t go into a Renaissance related thread or post anywhere without a Swiftie shouting from the rooftops anymore. Not here, not Twitter, not IG, not TikTok. It’s actually crazy. And it’s ONLY when talking about Bey too.

I will never understand these stan wars… like can’t you just enjoy your fav’s success and ignore the other artists if you don’t like them? What’s the point in comparing when for both Tay and Bey none of this **** matters.
