I'm calling it now... she's about to serve MJ MOONWALKER but make it RENAISSANCE

HERE FOR IT

!!!!! It’s gonna gag us

the swifties acting like she’s copying taylor swift by possibly doing a movie release are trying to whitewash history and pretend taylor is a pioneer btw. Beyonce did theatrical releases for concert films before with her own company parkwood doing the production. Taylor is once again following in her footsteps but Beyoncé ultimately did it first. And prince was the first major artist to do a theatrical release for his music projects.

i wish swifties would accept history as it was instead of trying to rewrite it

Rumor but most likely right from BO forums:

Tix go on sale for Beyonce on Sunday night around midnight EST :)

Price should be ~$22 or so.

Tough chance tbh

In my experience they are incredibly short-sighted and can't look back past the beginning of her fave's career

They live in their own bubble

If Dec 1st date is true that’s probably the best release date they could choose. It’ll probably get the IMAX and Dolbys til Wonka comes out the week after.

My only issue with that date is that it's the weekend after Thanksgiving (aka everyone spent money doing that and Black Friday) and its a notoriously bad weekend for Hollywood. But if anyone can break that curse it's Bey.

I'm just happy I get finally see Thique ( since it wasn't in my NJ show)

It makes sense since Dolby audio had been hinting. They were working on Renaissance when it came out and rename their account Dol-bey for the longest. I wonder if it’s going to be in 3-D as well. Serving Hannah Montana 3D concert ft Jonas brothers

HERE FOR IT

I’ve always wanted another moonwalker or purple rain type release.

Hopefully a trailer comes out tomorrow so we can stop speculating.

Except it's not about theatrical concert films. Those have existed for ages, so how did Taylor follow "Beyoncé's footsteps" when Beyoncé did not originate this concept to begin with?

Meanwhile what Taylor did originate is the concept of working with AMC Theater not only as an exhibitor, but as a distributor. This is completely new business model for the company, as AMC themselves put it:

Quote

This marks the inaugural step of a new line of business for AMC Entertainment. In addition to exhibiting TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film at its own theatres, AMC is also acting as the theatrical distributor

This is why you have a reputable industry source like Variety make a statement about how this Beyoncé deal is like the one that Taylor made:

Quote

The Beyonce deal follows on the heels of one Taylor Swift brokered for a straightforward concert film based on her widely-attended Eras Tour.

Beyoncé is not following Taylor's example in making a theatrical concert film. She's following her footsteps by not working with a traditional studio and directly going to AMC instead.

Was this actually professionally recorded at any shows? Was there an announcement?

Yup. She’s had professional photography and filming equipment since the Paris shows.

Idk why everyone is getting mass downvoted for suggesting she is following Taylor’s footsteps.

it is beyond obvious that the move to distribute it through AMC directly was inspired by Taylor. It is not going to kill anyone to acknowledge that.

They can't stand that idea. Let them be.

ot: so this is the tour concert? What about the visuals? We want to watch the visuals.

Poor @bijonse it's so obvious her fave took notes from Taylor's book and it's ok, that's what happens when you're the biggest artist in the world, people usually follow your footsteps and take notes from your business moves to try and emulate them. Good for B, I hope she also makes deals with other theaters worldwide just like Taylor, I'd love the idea of going with my friends to the cinema to see the Ren Tour on them big screens

A reach. Really “following in her footsteps” would be finding inspiration her performance aesthetics and concepts and marketing strategies like taylor has done with Beyoncé several times.

Not everything is about colorful wigs and shaking your ass on stage, girl. Inspiration comes in any shape, way or form and it's so obvious there's nothing wrong in accepting a FACT :priceless:

Taylor owes her a few ideas after finding artistic inspiration (the stuff that matters btw) from Beyoncé over the years. Swifties kinda showing their ass that all they care about is stuff like stats, numbers, anything but the art, etc. by creaming at the thought of amc cutting Beyoncé a deal similar to taylors for art that Beyoncé has done before.
