Dialamba Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I didn’t know he had an album out. Nowadays artists be not promoting their albums and then expect TT to wake up
romas_ld Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Spoiler Really hope Taylor won’t work with Aaron anymore, he’s sooo repetitive and boring now
tellem Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 His last album didn’t do very well either and it was a full label release with singles and everything. I think people just don’t care for new music from him anymore 1

LCTV Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Its an album for the fans. The OP self expose.

Harry next please He won't, since his fans are very Swiftie-like loyal, unless the music is super terrible and the GP won't be on board. If it's just bland, it will still be successful somehow He is the kind of artist that benefits from promo, ofc he's gonna bomb without it

Aaron Dessner worked on this? Ed Sheeran really wants his own Folklore. I've always had a feeling it was Taylor's magic mainly working on Folklore, and Aaron and the other producers just assisted her with the music production

Billionaire Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 (edited) I don't even like him but it has no singles or playlisting & was an obvious 'gift for the fans' so why would anybody be shocked Edited September 30, 2023 by Billionaire 3
Enrique523 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 "gift for the fans" is the new excuse for flopping i see 2

Siberian Tiger Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 If it's a "gift for fans" it seems he doesn't have many OT: the Earth is healing. 1
Assassin Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 (edited) If it's a gift for the fans, then why isn't it free? Edited September 30, 2023 by Assassin 1
Erreur2 La Nature Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 A huge flop but to be fair it seems like it is a side project with zero push nor promotion or anything so it does not really matter.
BlackStar_93 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 He has nothing left to prove. He’s broken records and smashed for a long, long time. He clearly had no expectations for this album seeing as there was no lead and there aren’t really any big pop/radio moments on there. Even his previous album which was a “return to roots”/singer-songwriter effort had “Eyes Closed”, which a lot of people forget was a low-key hit. I do agree with the criticism that he’s a little oversaturated; he’s been consistently releasing new material for a while now so obviously his success was going to come to reach a bottleneck at some point. It’s happened to every successful mainstream artist at some point. This one isn’t his best album, it’s a cute little acoustic/stripped-down record that clearly wasn’t released to be some chart-topping juggernaut. The proof is right there, it’s his first album to be released without a radio hit lead… clearly he and they (his label) didn’t expect a big moment. 1 1
Rv1709 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 “On my own label”? Did he get dropped from Atlantic?
Bloodflowers. Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 He should focus on establishing fanbase that he lost after Divide and became GP relying artist, so this project is step in good direction I think in that regard
poltergeist Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 "for the fans" is the oldest excuse in the book
