Britney from the 2000 to 2003.

Always had one of the biggest selling female albums of the year but its singles have terrible chart runs and peaks.

Lana and most of the better known ~indie~ acts. I mean look at Tame Impala's 'The Less I Know The Better' :duca:

no doubt with don't speak

the fact that Don't Speak didn't even enter the Hot 100 yet it's the biggest song of their career, I'd argue even incl. Gwen's solo career, always sends me lol.

Lana and Billie are the obvious answers, as others have said. And honestly lots of people have proven this, I mean plenty of classics that peaked relatively low have far more streams than #1 hits from the same era.

To insert my fave into this; Taylor has album tracks that are bigger hits than some of her #1 singles. Example: unpromoted, not even TikTok viral 2017 track Getaway Car getting twice the amount of daily streams as 2021 #1 hit Willow, and closing in on its overall total as well. And mind you, that’s despite Willow actually having good recurrent streams on par with most of the #1 hits that surrounded it from that time period :skull:

Coldplay or Billie Eilish. Not people mention Lana, she has good streaming numbers overall but no smash

Ellie Goulding

Outside is the 7th most streamed female song of 2014 with 1 billion streams soon, the top 6 all reached the Hot 100 Top 10 while Outside peaked at #29

Burn, the global hit with 1.5 billion youtube views, peaked at #13

Hate Me peaked at #56 but charted 20 weeks and is 3x Platinum

How Long Will I Love You didn’t even chart on the Bubbling Under and is Platinum

And then of course the fact she never reached #1 on the Hot 100 when Love Me Like You Do went #1 in 36 countries and Lights charted 57 weeks on the Hot 100
