NausAllien Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Dirrty is a perfect example of that. Everything about that song, including the outfit and the choreo are super iconic, and yet it peaked at only #48 on the BB Hot 100 (though it was a top 3 in dozens of countries and made it 14 end-year lists). Love On Top from Beyoncé is another good example. The song is very iconic and it will always be linked to the pregnancy announcement that broke Twitter, but it peaked at #20. 6
naval23 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Nelly Furtado Maneater peaking at #16 but outstreaming #1s of that era including Say It Right, Girlfriend, Big Girls Don't Cry, The Sweet Escape and Give It To Me and many others on Spotify 1

alejandreaux Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Billie came to mind first. look no further than the #64 peaking “lovely” having 2.5 BILLION streams, on par with (or bigger than) all the #1 hits from that year 12
Cain Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Dua, even tho DL1 and FN ‘only’ produced three Top 10 hits, they are huge era’s with huge hits 1
MusicLoverDude Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Stevie Nicks: Edge of Seventeen peaked at #11 but it has gone on to be one of the most iconic rock songs in history. Don't Speak by No Doubt was not allowed to chart because of Hot 100 rules at the time but it is their signature song nonetheless.
