If anything, I feel like she took a sharp left turn and started forging a path that went against what may have been originally envisioned. After I Am... Sasha Fierce, from 4 up to now, there was an overall shift shift in sound, demeanor and overall trajectory. Though, I do believe the fundamental goal of growth and development were always there; the direction to get there is what I feel like went of course, perhaps for the better—though she would have become a legend either way.

I don't know what OP and their friends are on but Beyoncé has had the most successfully unpredictable post-20s career trajectory of any major pop girl in this gen. and her legacy is all the more strengthened because of it.
