Β She had her big success for almost a decade at least and global fame with tours, won 5 Grammys, so she had her (long) moment, it's not like she has been under radar like for example I don't know Tinashe, at the end she still manage to have a peak and the rocognitions that are rare to achieve for a singer, not to mention nobody has ever denied her talent, so she's definitely not underrated. People forget she co-wrote some of her best songs like Fighter, Infatuation, Hurt, Ain't No Other Man, etc. with only the producer of the song, which means she likely did most of the writing. Some of her best albums like Stripped were unfairly bashed by some critics just because they didn't like her image or music videos (which has nothing to do with the music itself). Β Of course, commercially, she has underperformed for more than a decade. So she's also underrated by the GP. She should be up there with BeyoncΓ© because she's as talented as Bey. Β I would say she's fairly rated and very respected by her peers. Every pop girl mentions her as one of their inspirations and albums like Stripped are still very impactful. She hasnβt had a solo top 10 single in the U.S. since the mid-2000s. Her career lasted a few years and people moved on. She had a few successful collaborations in the early 10s, but thatβs about it.
