Mystic Boy Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Apparently she has a 30M dollars networth. That seems more than enough to live comfortably
MonsterTown Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 she has to go back to the voice UK. she was good
J-esper Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I always felt that after her debut album, both she and her label/management had no idea how to market her. Her debut album showed as a quirky girl with a big voice. Her second album more or less shifted her image but also had very icky single choices. Bang Bang put herback on the map again but also branded her as just an other pop girl and even though I love a song like Burning Up, Bang Bang became it's own bubble outside of it's album and is more associated with Ariana than Jessie. R.O.S.E was a very interesting project and kinda built on some of the sounds she explored on Sweet Talker but the roll out was a disaster. She kinda never found a niche in the industry to cling on and kinda got lost in the shuffle. Overall she probably will be fine but musically/career wise there is a lot of wasted potential. I hope she continues to release stuff though 1
Cheers Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 She just needs a collab with my fave, Bizarrap, to get her career afloat again

Tm4074 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Her self-proclaimed comparison to Whitney, Celine, Beyoncé and Aretha is sending me. Gotta give it to her she constantly delivers with these terrible takes lacking any self-awareness lol. Jessie J stands out just as much as the singers on those televised talent competitions like AGT and X Factor. Nobody cares about them once they release original music because they have nothing interesting to offer artistically or image wise despite having vocal skill. Honestly she's lucky to have the 3 hits she does have so she's not technically just a one hit wonder. She really should have stayed loyal to her home market and built a base there instead of attempting to crossover to a highly competitive market in the U.S. Now her home market in the UK isn't supporting her music either. 1 1
Life Savers Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 The formerly bisexual chanteuse will be OK.
IBeMe Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I dont get why some of these like Z list pop stars dont try to get on reality tv especially if they are tight on cash. Like Jessie J would be amazing on a Real Housewives franchise. Imagine her fighting Kyle Richards or Kenya Moore or Heather Dubrow or something
Antikythera Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 As she should. There you have someone who no one will miss it and don't tell me you will, look at her streams, not even fans care. She has a long reputation of being a ***** and I have experienced it first hand. She is talented, but a lot of people are. She think she is god gifts to mankind. She is not. Go to China, didn't they love her there?

The UK would've dropped her like they do all female singers mostly so her staying home instead of crossing over to the US wouldn't have made much of a difference.

livelikemusic Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Good on her... making this decision for herself. I'm not surprised, but I support her in the decision(s) she's made. And loving the lighter hair colour on her!

I hope she continues to release stuff though For me, after doing that singing competition series and winning, I thought she should've embraced the more Céline Dion/Whitney Houston-esque aspect of her voice, and that the R.O.S.E. project lacked everything that had gotten her some acclaim and attention for her voice. I know she's free to pursue whatever sound(s) she wants, but it would've been smart to try for that big ballad-like singer sound for a project. I mean, Hell, "I Want Love" was a nice change in direction, and nothing happened with it.

mons†er Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 she's a great writer honestly and she should definitely look into doing that. specifically R&B.

Even now on streaming services it's not available as an album.
