The Telegraph: 'RAYE, the most talented performer since Adele and Amy Winehouse'

RAYE has received RAVE reviews, with 5 stars across the board for her Royal Albert Hall concert in London.

Do you agree? Is she the all-rounded superstar the industry has been missing for years? :coffee2:

Idk why people are balking at this like it’s super wrong, Raye’s talents have been incredibly misused. I dont think she should ever have been in the pop sphere and she does belong with the Amy’s and Adele’s.

Makes sense. Literally every comment section under any RAYE related posts is full of people being reminded of Amy. Amy had her unique tone as an advantage.

Plus RAYE is wayyyy better and diverse vocalist than Adele could ever be.

The wording of the Telegraph article is a set up but that doesn't take away from how sickening the show at the Royal Albert Hall was...I'm in awe at all the videos of it on TikTok!

What's with the negativity in here? RAYE is an outstanding vocalist and a great performer (unless people only consider dancing performing) :michael:

Honestly I saw her earlier this year and she's nothing to write home about as a performer. She's a good vocalist, I'll give her that and her vocals have improved massively since I last saw her in 2018.

She spent a good portion of the show in tears, which was really awkward. She was majorly off beat on Environmental Anxiety. And every time there was a gap in between the songs she had literally no idea how to fill it :rip:

The staging worked really well for Oscar Winning Tears and The Thrill is Gone, but because the album is such an eclectic mix of genres most of the set list felt out of place with the Jazz bar setup.

Escapism live is a bit of a mess but granted that is a very difficult song to perform with all the tempo and flow changes and the rapid-fire parts. Haven't heard much else of her but she has a very interesting color on her voice.

Honestly? FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT.
She's an amazing performer. Amazing vocalist. Amazing lyricist. And extremely versatile.

And the only reason you guys put on a big NO w/ this comparison, is because she's done a lot of POP.
She should be a legend already.

Good for her.

If the media said that that means it’s true :clap3:
