She handled that like a pro. I might not like her very much, but I do have respect for what she stands up for. Good for you Pink!

It’s 2023. You’d think people would have some more sense now to not just go a long with something because it was the thing to do back then. It’s mostly not needed and some gross thing to do because of religion or because “daddy is cut” so my son will be too. :bibliahh:

We don’t just go along with it because it’s what was done back in the day, it’s just plain and simply that most American men really don’t care. This crusade against circumscision is uniquely international. Do some American men care? Sure. But most do not.

THIS IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE

The only health benefit that has been found is a reduced risk of HIV infection among men, and most trials have only been conducted in Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Uganda).

Do you honestly think it's okay to mutilate a sex organ just because it marginally reduced the risk of HIV infection rather than, I don't know, prevent these infections by using codoms?

I don't know what kind of PROPOGANDA pro-genial-mutilation advocates are spreading there in the US, but it's not scientific. It's just a bunch of myths from the 19th C. that have been perpetuated for generations.

You’re free to feel however you wish to feel, and I’ll feel how I feel.

But yes I am perfectly fine with circumscision, just like most of America is. I am circumsized just like most American men are, and it’s fine. Never once had any issues or complaints, as most men who are haven’t. Very few men here give a ****, it’s everyone else who’s obsessed with our dicks.

This. Calling it “genital mutilation” is such an insult to the women who are ACTUALLY victims of genital mutilation.

mu·ti·la·tion ˌmyü-tə-ˈlā-shən

an act or instance of destroying, removing, or severely damaging a limb or other body part of a person or animal

This means that the act of circumcision should by definition be considered mutilation, regardless of sex. There is no reason to circumscise infants, unless it's necessary for medical reasons.

The issue isn't with the circumcision itself, but with a permanent body modification being inflicted on infants before they have any ability to understand or consent to the procedure. It would be the equivalent of tattooing the word "Jesus" on every infant born to a Christian family - even if it's ultimately harmless (from a health perspective) and even accepted thanks to societal norms, it is still a permanent change that the infant had no say over and will be forced to live with for the rest of their lives.

Even if you say it's a small minority of American men who have issue with it - say only 5% of the men that get circumcised who hate it and are forced to live with this permanent body modification - that's still enough to make the practice barbaric, because there is nothing lost for the other 95% of guys who could simply elect to have the procedure done once they're old enough to give informed consent, and therefore nothing gained by forcing it on all infants before they are old enough to give that consent.

Or to put it differently: if you like being circumcised, you shouldn't be forced to accept that your ***** has been 'mutilated' or made to live your whole life with an uncircumcised *****, and that logic also extends to guys who are against circumcision who should not have been cut as infants before they had any say in the matter. And the only way to prevent that from happening is to stop circumcising infants before they are able to give informed consent.

I’ve never had a man get turned off from my flavor savor. They usually like chewing on it. To each their own, but some men seem to enjoy uncircumcised

Well, by definition it is. People can debate the severity in relation to female genital mutilation, but it’s cutting off flesh from the male genitalia for mostly aesthetic reasons.

They don’t have a say. What’s so hard to get? They think it’s normal then and repeat it on their babies, do they even know what foreskin is :skull:

the amount of mental illness celebs need to witness on a day to day basis is so hilarious tbh.

It's 2023, yet here y'all are, incapable of scientific literacy and being able to find the research that points to it's benefits and lack of any side effects. This is not something that's debatable - this has been common practice and studied for DECADES in the US. It is the opinion by many pediatricians and urologists, to my understanding, that the benefit outweighs the risk of the procedure.

This is common practice, again, because of decades of research, not because of cosmetic reasons.

And calling cut men - who otherwise have no problem with themselves - "mutilated", is body shaming, and projecting your apparent insecurities onto somebody else.

I'm SO sick and tired of scientifically illiterate mobs of people watching a YouTube video, reading a Facebook post, or watching a TikTok, filled with misinformation and just running with it without any critical thinking skills whatsoever. You may was well say you're anti vaccine, too. You don't get to disagree with science when it shows you evidence you don't like.

It’s nonsense, that’s why. You were born with it, why would that happen then to just cut it off. How does that make sense to you? It’s a normal thing to have  :bibliahh: It is not necessary unless for medical reasons. The way Americans go on about health reasons yet those uncut get on just fine. :deadbanana2:

Not many does it for the science reasons you are talking about either, they do it because of religion and because daddy is cut and tbh not many know any better.

It’s weird and even weirder how people defend it. Let the child grow up and decide what he wants. Does he want to be cut, does he even want to be part of the religion?

It’s really stupid imo

What you seem incapable of understanding is that EVERYONE should have a choice over what to do or not to do to their body. Infants are deprived of that choice when they're circumcised. And it's IMPOSSIBLE for you to understand what you're missing because you don't have any memories of what it was like to have a foreskin, nor you ever experienced the pleasure it can give. Why? Because your parents decided to circumcise you before you could even form memories. And I'm deeply sorry that was done to you.

Routine infant circumcision is wrong. Not sure why P!nk decided that was the hill she wanted to die on.

It's 2023 and people are still in support of genital mutilation of baby boys. This is why I will never vibe with Pink.

Exactly. I don’t know why people are getting mad about people against it.

Also it’s not about if you are cut and happy with it. That seems be the response a lot of people have. Also the US promoting it is not surprising, is it for free? I really doubt it :deadbanana2:

Body autonomy should be the normal for everyone. Men, women and all in-between. People should just have the choice of what's happening to their bodies no matter what. I don't agree with circumcision at birth (happened to me and I'm not a fan), but I also think a P!nk concert is NOT the area to argue this, knowing she's Jewish and circumcision is part of their culture. Wish people were a bit more educated on the topic though.

I wish my parents have done it to me when i was a baby and my doctor don't try to save my foreskin in 5th grade .They cut my a small piece of my foreskin every summer for 3 years until i begged to have circumcision to end that , I still hurt when i thought about it.

he was f*cking right first of all, coming from me, Joe, someone who was raised jewish (just like Pee!n) and who still adheres to certain aspects of it while being STAUNCHLY opposed to ritualistic circumcision (I’m currently in my restoration process) so he has the right to say it

second of all… who said he wasn’t enjoying some of the music too?

third of all, she made a fool of herself with how aggressive she got. imagine being so passionate about circumcising when you don’t even have a d*ck yourself… sis, just ignore it or be like “nice, but i won’t engage” instead of sh*tying the bed in front of everyone at your own show

fourth of all, i’m gonna say that the way this arose was f*cking weird and upsetting so both parties are at fault for that part

i really hope some people also realize that a LOT of us jews are proud of our heritage and still oppose circumcision. we can take a lot of important lessons from our culture and still disagree with other customs :michael: just sayin!
