I guess her fans took her advise and decided to spend their money on more important things

Yeah I'm kind of shocked :deadbanana4:

A big hit, such popularity and not even breaking 60K is dumbfounding.

It’s what she deserves, she took too far that rebranding of hers and it drained off all her admirers.

lmaoooo. She deserves this @Sexyzinger. Miley won @Miley Cyrus @wish

Doja never has big first week album sales. If Hot Pink & Planet Her is any indication, she’s in it for the longevity so keep following ha as you do.

These are literally worse than Solar Power numbers, and Solar Power’s numbers were already a little deflated bc the “music box” thing didn’t count as sales. Plus Solar Power was extremely non commercial and had not even a tiny hit. I’m honestly shocked

Why are people saying she doesn't have a fanbase as big as Cardi or Meg? In the past 3 years, she has had 11 multi-platinum hits. Her last album alone spent 8 months in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. And overall this is her 4th studio album while Cardi only has 1 and Meg only has 2. In addition, she gets more exposure by regularly transcending 3 different genres while Cardi and Meg primarily stick to one. I always thought her fan base was pretty vast considering she always seemed to be a stream queen + I am always seeing topics about her breaking records. If her fan base is really that small considering all of that, it's a bit shocking to me.

It’s known she doesn’t have a big fan base. She a is a GP girlie. So she needs to do more promo. We literally have one performance lol.

Lbr here, anything below 100k after the huge success of PH is an underperformance, most especially when she’s currently having the biggest hit of her career.  And the sad thing is, she’s only predicted to do half of 100k. :dies:

Any random male rapper can flood the AM chart. Meanwhile, Doja’s album tracks are N/A in AM US. Weird.

Most of her fans are women who like her pop and r&b stuff.  Her fans don't like actual rap music, listened once and that was it for them.  This album was supposed to help her cross over to actual hip hop listeners but they don't take her seriously. After Attention flopped she should have have done some Urban promo, released something for that audience, maybe a feature. But her label made her release a pop song that's being played on pop radio. The album doesn't match.

I actually just looked up what happened between her & her fans over the summer. I don't blame them for not wanting to buy/stream her music now. And that behavior toward your supporters doesn't look great to the GP either. So yeah Doja, 50-55k if that's all you get you definitely earned it.

I do think it’s interesting that for this pivot they didn’t think to set the groundwork by doing some high profile collabs/verses with rappers either as droplets or for a lead-up to the era.

You can’t just go from the being the weird girl in racial chatrooms to being considered an authentic part of the hip-hop space overnight.

In some ways it’s commendable that she’s doing this without features and just trying to let the music speak for itself, but it’s also an odd choice.

She thought it was too big, so she took some steps to reduce it. Proactive queen!

For me personally she rubbed me the wrong way so I stopped actively listening to her songs after Attention. Since I deleted twitter I had no idea the album came out. I do know she had a demonic music video called Demons that I refuse to watch. I have zero desire to listen to her anymore. Just a year ago I said she’s the best performer of this upcoming generation. Now I could care less about her existence. I’d walk right past her in the grocery store without a gasp. Terrible personality and terrible overplayed devil antics. Good riddance. Maybe Megan did deserve the Best New Artist Grammy.

The imagery is just unappealing and offputting., something about the bland and dry colors and lack of WOW factor..

this is coming from a casual Doja fan who loved Gaga's, Billie's and Lil Nas X's DARK imagery

other than that, the music is also not giving.. i only love PTTR and Agora Hills plus given the fact that she alienated her fans

although i can see PTTR and Agora Hills carrying the era longevity wise

what say you @istan4badgalriri ?

PTTR is shaping up to become DOJA's BIGGEST GLOBAL SMASH HIT EVER
