Scabandplaster Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Why is she doing so much press about this. This won't help her in the slightest.
BryceG Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Ryan may be a bit rough around the edges, but how can you watch this and then take away he'd ever want to silence your voice?

That is so unprofessional and essentially cyber-blackmailing. No wonder she "decided" to leave Hollywood. This. You cannot tweet everything in you work life to the internet like that. 3
chiliam Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I read the whole interview and madamm this girl is delusional and may i say over the top SJW. 1. Emma is innocent queen but still try to call and apologize and she still hold that grudge and run to the press like this 2. Ryan did gave her exposure and opportunities even with that medicore acting. And dont we ghost people all the time lol? 3. The part she speak for MJ truly show her true intention. Rather than saying each person will have different experiences. She outright said MJ was afraid to speak out to keep a job and she is the brave one for speak up. 1 2

Then she thinks it's Janet Mock's behavior that Ryan stopped calling her. But he's still calling MJ Rodriguez.

Yeah it's #3 that is telling and when she said that her hair dresser told her she was calm and peaceful. Yet she was shading people on set. 😂

I can only imagine what the rest of the Pose cast had to go through, I'm sure they only haven't spoken about their experiences bc they don't want to miss out on any opportunities for future projects. :( Apparently not much since MJ is on this season with Emma.

Add in the way she treated people on set and it's not hard to see why people believe she was intentionally transphobic. Are there any non “blind items” about how she treats people on set? Like actual names actors/actresses or crew members speaking against her?
BlueTimberwolf Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 She was right about the T-shirt (totally inappropriate for a workplace, especially one that has LGBT-heavy employees), but the way she went about it and her current attitude shows she has a savior complex and got a little too big for her britches.

Basically its taking on "you're not a lady" saying, which means that you're a b****. Right, the opposite woman is man, but the opposite of lady is not gentleman. It could be a messy woman, an unrefined woman, a mean woman, a loud woman. It's literally any woman that isn't a lady. When someone says, "that's not very lady like." They are not calling you a gentleman. Edited September 24, 2023 by JustLikeHoney

Quote At one point, I see Emma talking to the director, John, about something that he wants to do. He’s trying to get Emma to do something, and she’s not complying. And she says to him, “What are you going to do about it, John? You’re going to cry about it? Waaah. John’s not getting his way.” 1 1

There was a crewmember who was operating my vehicle that I had to drive on camera, so he’s right outside my windshield and every day he was wearing a racist T-shirt. Like? One day it was, “BUILD THAT WALL.” The next day it was white praying hands in front of an American flag, and it said, “I DON’T KNEEL.” Those are the ones I remember. This guy had a collection. I started speaking up about it. oh wow oh wow can they make him not wear shirts like that though? or even tell him to stop? i don't see how it's an issue worthy enough to mention...
MaterialboyEST1985 Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 If this was a White Trans model like Kim Petras for example, I think the replies would be a lot different. I hate to be that person however Angelica is a Dark skin Black Trans (Gorgeous too) woman so of coming she's not going to gain any sympathy here. 1 1 1 2

Aristede Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 I'm not buying the explanations for Emma's "lady" quote on this thread. I think she probably did mean it in the transphobic sense, but it was a "you said something so I'll say something back" kind of situation rather than a random attack. Maybe she thought they were playing around and that Angelica would take it as a joke, but didn't realize they don't have that type of relationship. In any case, I am glad she apologized for it. She could've easily denied ever saying such a thing knowing that the public would take her side over Angelica, but she owned up to it and took accountability instead.

But only Angelica is saying that. And in this article she also says the Emma is running the entire show. What actor without a producing credit is running an entire show and why would they? They aren't getting paid for it without the production credit. There is literally 19 producers that season. None of them are Emma. 1

The only meaning I can make of it is that Emma is the only ‘lady’ between the two of them… This seems like something got taken out of context and blown out of proportion for attention. Emma didn’t say that Angelica isn’t a woman, she said that she wasn’t being a lady. There is an important distinction. I see how the comment in the moment could have been taken a certain way but it doesn’t sound like it was meant to be transphobic. The guy with the shirt should have been told that inflammatory language or phrases on clothing was against some sort of dress code and that would have taken care of the whole thing. The fact that Emma called her afterwards to apologize and Angelica is STILL going on a rant years after the fact just screams attention seeking.

Kim Petras gets dragged on a daily basis though and rightfully so because she's a garbage person. It's got nothing to do with skin color.
