The gays won against monkeypox. What went right?

Despite the initial outrage, monkeypox dropped out of the charts faster than Stupid Love after the gays quickly went to take vaccines. Are we more medically responsible than the straights? Why?

Great response from LGBTQ educators and organizers who got vaccines quick and spread information about spread well. Also covid spreads faster and has a higher mortality rate than monkey pox. I'm glad that monkey pox flopped hard because the anti-LGBTQ talk that began with its initial spread was worrying, anyway the gays learned from the previous pandemics/epidemics and the straights can't and didn't

Vaccines obviously. They work. Just like the HIV epidemic has drastically decreased because many gays take PrEP.

The way I never even got the vaccine. You had to be referred here :rip:

But yeah it wasn't as contagious as covid and the symptoms are a lot more obvious

No it was overblown in the media just like every disease since Covid to scare people. Covid was the only real pandemic.

The at risk population was adult inner city populations who are statistically much more likely than the general populous to be educated and to stay informed on current events and also have more immediate access to new vaccines.

They lined up quickly for the shots to be able to have bareback sex in peace. Nothing will ruin that for them.

if Covid was gay-only we would've mobilized quickly and it would've been over in a few months and we would be partying in Puerto Vallarta

Their bottoming sessions and mirror's validation selfies were in danger so they took shots real quick. ezgif-1-f3bc812a00.thumb.gif.e3fb2dfc52a

the lgbt community is largely liberal so wild vaccination conspiracy theories didn't prevent them from doing the correct thing for public health's sake.

Well it was easier to control and more notorious but thank God it didn't become something worse.

Hmmm monkey pox is back but everyone has been told to be on alert though.

I forgot it was even a thing, and I've been vaccinated for it.

They offered free vaccines to all gay men in Australia. I just saw it as a good excuse to get 2 extended lunch breaks.
