I feel they are being purposedly misleading. Doesn't this include units from wildest dreams and this love, and thus it is accurate for certs not for first week units?

It’s really only misleading for those who eagerly follow chart stats.  Most people will be like, cool, already sold over a million units.

They truly are. "White privilege" doesn't even make ANY sense in this context since MJ was the biggest artist in the freaking 80s and he was very much a black man. And MANY white female artists are flopping left and right, they're clearly not having any "privilege" when it comes to selling music. If it was that simple for white artists to be that successful every white artist would accomplish it, not just Taylor.
