Bethenny Frankel Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Not really too shocked, they were besties in the show so they must've been putting on a performance then. At least Emma apologized privately, but who knows what will happen with this?
AvadaKedavra Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 I knew it. She always gave me evil vibes
prézli Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 She's 5′ 2″ and tiny people are evil, so I believe this. 1 2
La Reina Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Another case of selective outrage. People on Twitter (and even in this thread) were defending Emma up and down saying "Emma would never! We stan Emma regardless yass, etc." but I guarantee you if it were transphobia coming from a celebrity that they didn't like, torches would've been set on fire already. Glad Angelica received her well-deserved apology, although far too late. 1 1

When that Glee girl got accusations thrown at her, multiple people came forward to say it was true and she was terrible. Has the same happened here? Surely if she said this so boldly on set SOMEONE had to have heard her to back up the claim. Sorry but if this whole ordeal doesn’t seem even a bit shady then idk what to tell you If it wasn’t true then Emma wouldn’t have apologised at all let alone called her personally. The fact that you’re still trying to make this fit your narrative just so you can discredit a black trans woman to defend and stan your precious white mean girl, is BEYOND pathetic. You always have some of the worst takes on here, so embarrassing. Edited September 22, 2023 by CaptainMusic 1 1 1

Vespertine Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 I know I'm very late to this thread, but just need to say: not even remotely surprising She is pretty corny and talentless as an actress and almost always plays the same "insufferable queen bee *****!!" role in everything, so I have always assumed that's just her real personality And that's before you even get into the domestic abuse issues with Evan Peters. 1
Elusive Chanteuse Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Angelica explains what actually happened in that interview and it’s not anything remotely serious 🧐 it was Emma’s failed attempt at shade and to be funny. i thought she was following Angelica around hurling slurs. 6

The situation doesn’t make any sense. She has held onto this rage about that incident for years, rants about it publicly right before the premiere of a show she’s no longer on but Emma still is, claims it was an extremely transphobic thing said, and then so easy accepts a single phone call apology and doesn’t even want Emma to apologize publicly despite her clearly caring enough to air it out publicly? Also this was apparently said ON SET but no one else has backed her story? Sorry I’m not an imbecile who thinks every story is black and white. As I said, Emma probably said or did something offensive but I highly doubt it was as dramatic as Angelica sold it. And I don’t necessarily think there’s much going on in your noggin to care about your opinion of my posts. 6 1 4

rac7d Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 People seem to give Emma a lot of Benifit of the doubt AKA Inwant to watch her show without guilt next week 1
Harrier Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Soooo it was just an attempt at playful banter that Angelica took offense to... This never warranted anything other than a private apology from Emma to Angelica, which seems to have happened. If a straight friend made a joke at my expense that crossed my boundaries I would just tell them and leave it at that. Attempting to shame and cancel her 5 years later over a joke that didn't land frankly is not a good look for Angelica 6 1

Then when he made fun of you for baseless accusations (the Amazon book), you switch and decide that’s actually mocking someone’s mental health struggles. You’re so desperately trying to get a gotcha! moment, but it’s just not happening. There is a serious case of victim complex here and you should work on yourselves. Yes there is a serious case of victim complex by Angelica Ross. If Ross is a stable person without Any mental health issues then taking transphobic offense to not being a lady is ridiculous. A lady is always a woman. A woman is not always a lady. It's more behavior. A lady is a type of woman. Not being a lady can mean being a mean woman, a loud woman, a messy woman. Not being a lady does NOT mean being a man. And since Emma said Angelica was "being mean" (Angelica's own recollection of events) she was talking about behavior not gender. Like I wrote in the other thread, "the opposite of woman is man but the opposite of lady is not gentleman." And when people say a woman is not acting "lady like" it doesn't mean they are acting like a gentleman. So stop trying so hard to bring that user down for arguing with someone that doesn't even know the difference between lady and woman. Edited September 24, 2023 by JustLikeHoney

I think instead of comparing it to a friend you'd be more patient with, it'd be similar to a coworker making jokes at your expense that he thought was fine about being gay and then seeing years later he's now an upper-level manager, promoted by the boss who kept promising you a pay raise was coming and never did so you quit.

But Angelica was the one that initiated the "playful banter." She threw the first joke at Emma's "expense." Emma's response was just a reply to Angelicas joke. Also the joke was not transphobic. Not being a lady doesn't mean being a man.
chiliam Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Thats why i havent comment on this thread before hearing the full story. Turn out she is misunderstanding the joke, Emma said nothing wrong but still apologize to clear the air. And she still hold that grunge and go to the press for some cheap publicity. Some of the comments in here about Emma and white gay is disgusting. Its both racist and homophobic. Why are we like this, why our community becomes so judgemental at any given moment without knowing the full story?
Cryptique Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 i mean, she's giving b*tch vibes from the get-go so not surprising
