“Owe” no, but they (the artist) also can’t get mad that their fans don’t stick besides. To have a loyal and dedicated fanbase you have to give them what they want. To expect a loyal and dedicated fanbase without putting in any work is entitled. It only works for certain artist like Sza for example who is chill, low key, and doesn’t seem like she cares to be in the celebrity limelight. She releases quality music when she does release and releases snippets in between. She doesn’t care about being the “Queen” or anything and isn’t pressed about stats, same with Adele.
