After Muslim opposition, 5 schools set on fire in Belgium over sex/LGBTQ education

And the only way we are able to speak up against this is if we bubble all religions together instead of being able to single out the one causing the most homophobia. Even on a website full of gay men as the main demographic. I live in a city where a Muslim man murdered 49 gay men mainly POC while they were enjoying a night out. Generalizing isn't fair every bunch has bad apples and good ones. Look at the map of countries where you can be jailed or killed for being gay. Whats the common denominator?

Saying "Well Christians are also bad" is so pointless they don't go this hard and y'all damn well know that.

Demand that they give up on their religion and become atheist (this should be done to everyone). Religion should be criminalized.

75%+ of the EU believes in some form of religion (nearly all following some Abrahamic faith). Are you suggesting deporting... most of the EU's citizens?

Would this include rounding up and deporting other religious minorities besides Muslims, like Jewish Europeans?

Where would you deport ethnic Bosniaks and Albanians who don't want to stop identifying as Muslims?

This is just the beginning.

And the funny thing is, it doesn’t even matter who you vote for. Look at the state of Meloni’s Italy right now.

This continent is done for unfortunately.

Not deporting. Criminalizing. Religious people don't belong in a civilized society.

So ban anyone who practices a religion from entering and migrating to Europe, while forcing anyone who is currently in the EU who practices a religion into a concentrated area, maybe into a camp-like structure where they're locked up until they're no longer believing in some kind of God?

You know this comes off a little unserious, right?

And people said it’s not a religion of peace, proving the haters wrong :clap3:

Nope. That's now what I said. You're the one claiming things.

How do you "criminalize" religion then? Your post literally said "witch hunt those fuckers"? What does that even mean? :rip:

Don't allow people to follow a religion. It's very simple. Religion doesn't belong in a forward thinking society. If you have laws that don't allow people to have a religion, then they won't have one in public.

Me: So you're saying you would criminalize people for having a religion?

You: Well, yes. We have to have laws banning religion.

Me: So then you'd want people put in jail for breaking these laws?

You: I never said that. Stop putting words in my mouth, you loony lefty.

Me: How do you then keep people following that law if there's no punishment?

You: Well they're just not gonna be allowed to have a religion and that's that.

Do you feel good knowing you're only slightly less incoherent than the person who on page 2 openly suggested Western-led genocide against Muslims? :rip:

If you find you're unable to coherently explain yourself when someone like me simply asks you to explain how to actually implement your grand, big ideas of "just get rid of religion and end all migration of Muslims", maybe your ideas are the problem.

Europe really needs to tighten the immigration laws and consider allowing immigrants from more compatible cultures who will easily assimilate only.

First step would be shutting down current religious establishment and banning new ones from being built. Eradicating religious educational institutions and all mention of it (other than all the harm it’s done) from regular schools). Prohibition of all religious symbols in public. Removal of religious books from libraries and bookstores and ban on printing more. Harshest punishments for crimes committed in the name of religion etc.

All of these would also discourage extremely religious people from choosing Europe as the place to immigrate too in the future thus solving the issue almost completely eventually.

The largest influx of Muslim migration to Europe in the last decade has been involuntary. Let alone then that many of these people eventually went back home. This narrative of some invasion of Europe by Muslims is inherently white supremacist and rooted in fiction. The math doesn't add up.

Okay so you don't actually want to change *immigration* law. You're citing policies that many European countries *already* implement, and which one could argue many of which have failed as a deterrence for extremism and radical thought. Did banning the burkini in France help integrate French Muslim women or further alienate French Muslim women, for example? And how would far-right Christian nations like Poland, Hungary and others react to this proposed EU-wide law to ban public faith in order to target-but-not-target Muslim migration?

Again, you see how these hoops you want to jump through seem more silly & unserious than just tackling the root causes of alienation?

These anti-Muslim grievances are pent up emotions but emotions don't supersede logic and facts.

You should probably research who funded the Ugandan “Kill the gays” bill that recently passed

I’m literally not gonna engage with you because you’re always over here defending religious extremists. It’s disgusting and I hope you learn to love yourself because the very people you’re so bent on defending don’t.

Someone holding the view that you solve extremism through fixing its root causes of alienation and not dabbling in reactionary fascism is not defending it.

You're more dedicated to your personal grievances with a demographic of people you hate than actually hoping suffering can be solved.

You're now 3/3 of the weirdos going "well I'd just get rid of all religions and anyone who asks how is defending extremism! :)".

So the possible solutions provided to what you and others are not so subtly calling "the Muslim Question" are:

  • Genocide
  • Just don't let anyone be Muslim anymore! Duh!

Belgium has had harsh restrictions in place for things like the hijab for a better part of a decade and these restrictions keep expanding. But according to you, extremism has worsened? At what point are policies like poverty alleviation given a go around?

I think if religion drives you to burn down a school, you should leave that religion because it is clearly not doing you or the world any good.

And retweeted this:

These right-wingers that y'all love to promote will likely come for your rights after they're done coming for Muslims.

Yes, we sadly see lots of people murdering gays in the name of Jesus. Stop burying your head in the sand in order to justify your bigotry. The responses in this thread are sickening. Blaming the entire religion because of the actions of extremists is wrong. You're parroting right-wing, white supremacist talking points. It's absolutely vile to see.
