She didn't need to waste money, energy, or time for an award show past its prime if they weren't at least going to recognize her as shes due! Her career is very much fine without the "promo".

Doesn't she have the longest running #1 album by a black woman in decades? Her tour is smashing, singles are smashing - there's no excuse. Anyone calling this a "bad move" has no integrity.

She should've been the second person nominated for AOTY after Taylor. SOS was HUGE and definitely the biggest album after Midnights. Luckily nobody even cares about the VMAs so

Entitlement ? SZA had a huge year and definitely deserved the nomination over Doja Cat (who I love btw) and Nicki - both of who don't even have albums out yet

SZA was nominated for 6 awards including video and song of the year.  I don't necessarily think she shouldn't have been nominated, but this just reeks of entitlement.
