What do you mean?

They're messy. That shouldn't be news to anyone. The division of BMG doing this release (not the same one The Rolling Stones, Kylie and now J.Lo are part of) gives upfront financing for projects and then collects that back with a commission. If they don't have confidence that the Sugababes will actually deliver an album in the time frame you tell them, it's a poor investment decision. So they want to test the waters with a low-risk project.

If the girls screw this up, then everyone just calls it a day and nobody at BMG loses their rag.

Thank you for the explanation!

This is really good omg .... and I totally think they could have modest commercial success performing these Jessie Ware-ish ballads/ soundtrack songs

These ballad soundtracks used to be  hits (Sugababes' own Too Lost In You, Ellie's Love Me Like You Do / How Long Will You Love Me, Jessie J's Flashlight, Jessie Ware etc) but all the girls are abandoning the genre ATM. Someone needs to revive this genre!

Love this :jonny5: Their voices always sound heavenly together

also if an album is coming, then I'm sure it will again be a mixture of different sounds that represent all three of them which is what this lineup has always been about. Soulful ballads have always been part of their albums, but they will have up-tempo bops too. The Lost Tapes is a very varied album in terms of genre.

Always excited for this trio's new music, but this is meh.

I really wish they'd do a full album of songs like Back in the Day and I Lay Down. There's so much more edge and energy from that RnB sound.

In the meantime, a public reminder to continue streaming Siobhan Donaghy's masterpieces Revolution in Me & Ghosts

After listening it in full , this feels nice a great more grown continuation of where they left of with the Lost Tapes. They evolve together as trio :jonny: I hope we get a full project. Would love to hear what more they would cook up together.

I am ready to scream my lungs out tonight

This is really good. Perfect for where they are now in their career. Realistically they're probably not going to get another big commercial hit, so this route fits.

I'm also seeing them this evening in London, catch you there girlies.
