Taylor arrived at the red carpet right before 8 pm so she was still getting photographed on the red carpet during the first performances.  

 

For shows like this, the rule of the thumb is the bigger the star, the later their arrival time is (excluding performers since they have to change outfits and prep). Since Taylor was the lady of the hour, she closed out the red carpet coverage by arriving last.

Nothing crazy. It was mostly crew changing the sets and celebrities going backstage.

• There are three main stages and two mini-stages. Sometimes, during one artist's performance, you can see the production crew quickly setting up the other stage for a follow-up performance.

The lighting didn't change throughout the show.

Because I had a seat, I could leave and return as I pleased. Usually, people get up for toilet breaks during commercials or go to refill their drinks. 

No stand-up comedians/ fillers during breaks. When you are there, the breaks seem very short actually, maybe because the crew is constantly working.

I received a promo code to get tickets for $160 in the 300 section. However, a little after the show started, I noticed some empty seats in the 100 sections moved there. The employees weren't checking seat assignments and didn't seem to care as long as you didn't take someone's seat/ caused a disruption.

 

Doors opened at 6 and closed at 7:45 pm. It was a good thing we went earlier thought, because so many of the roads were closed, and we had to walk 10 blocks to get to the entrance. At some point, I thought I wouldn't make it.

I was initially most struck by Taylor because I didn't expect her to be there. I would say the crowd cheered more for Shakira, had the best interactions with Nicki, and sang Vampire the loudest.

@Weld_E What was the general atmosphere and reaction when it came to the (non-Anglophone) international artists (minus Shakira 'cause she's well known) from them winning to performing? Like how did the crowd react to Stray Kids, TXT, Anitta, Karol G, Peso Pluma etc. 

I'm especially curious about the audience when it came to the K-pop acts

Initially i was closer to where the celebrities were sitting but I didn’t have a good view of the main stage. I moved after a bit and got a much better view:

I’d say overall, the crowd was hyped for all performers. Karol G and Anitta got good reactions and so did both K-pop groups. The k-pop groups had the crowd cheering to their production and tightly choreographed dance moves, everyone was having a blast. I knew nothing about Stray Kids but I was thoroughly entertained by their performance. As for TXT, there were 4 girls sitting behind me who went crazy when they started performing.

 

Another BTS fact I forgot to mention earlier is they move celebrities often throughout the show. Before they announce an award, they move them around so that the winner is sitting at the front. This means the celebrity knows in advance that they have won. The only celebrity who didn’t move and was always front row wad Taylor, but she did end up winning every award she was nominated for.
