However it managed to gain over 500M streams (from platforms where we can see the streaming numbers) and is still doing 500-600k daily from these platforms. EnigmaticAndroid Posted September 8, 2023 Share Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) It definitely did above-average for a soundtrack song irregardless of who it is, but 500M combined (Spotify and Youtube) is still like the bare minimum for a popstar in general. Especially given the whole "The GP only wants AC ballads from Gaga now" talk and it being attatched to a cultural phenomenon. And it's not like its consumption as it enters its recurrent phase is especially good (or terrible). While it definitely wasn't a bomb and did fine given the type of rollout it had and track it is, anyone acting like it had some impressive commercial performance is deluding themselves. When my dad passed, I had a dream that I saw him in a grocery store and this song was playing on the store radio. I woke up with tears in my eyes and this song is my head.
