I literally can’t stand him but I’m so tired of these snowflakes complaining about toxic work environment. Welcome to the adult life. Work is stressful, it hard, people working under time pressure etc. it can be stressful and people will snap at you. Working in a collective with a lot of people it’s gonna be toxic sometimes… like get a

thicker skin and learn how to deal with it. You can’t expect everybody to be kind to you and everything is butterfly and flowers…

Dealing with an environment that affects your mental health when there is a lack of organization and management is a recipe for disaster which results in high turnover and constant people having to assimilate into office politics in order to stay. There is responsibility, but being dehumanized by management results in a toxic work environment.

There is a difference between a stressful or difficult work environment and a toxic work environment.

his being (un)funny always gave the obnoxious vibe so i'm sadly not really surprised his 'erratic' 'alcoholic' behavior created a toxic workplace..

after ellen and lizzo, another getting exposed, it's sad ppl are like that while having such huge platforms.

The way your employers are probably walking all over you and you don't even know it, lmfao.

LMAO. Love Amy for this. She clearly didn’t like him because she seems super nice to everyone else. Never heard or read anything about how she treats people BTS (or Tina Fey).

Now that I think about it, Tina & Amy never asked Jimmy Fallon to guest star on 30 Rock or Parks & Recreation, did they? Someone correct me if I’m wrong. 30 Rock specifically had a ton of guest stars & I specifically remember a plot line where Conan was invited to play himself.

No one shows up to work happy every single day, I don't like him either but from my perspective Ellen would literally be toxic and harassing ON AIR to guests etc, so it made sense.

Meanwhile he seems like a guy that on a bad day just wellows in his own depression or comes off a bit wrong, and the "expose" isn't really enough to paint a different picture in my head compared to all the extreme allegations against Ellen.

Posted

I'm not surprised with this. I always suspect something is wrong with him especially with his forced laughs and exaggerated humor.

Not surprised in the slightest. His nice persona always seemed so fake and his forced laugh made me want to chop my ears with a pair or rusty kitchen scissors.

I don’t get why y’all don’t leave the work place when it gets too much for you. Working in a toxic environment is your responsibility and only makes you x10 more toxic, so grow some balls and leave. Look for another job.

I also believe the Gen Z is way too exaggerated these days. No one wants to work “hard” any more or put any effort into what they’re doing. They just want to have it easy and be pampered. I mean come on, these days you have to be careful with what you say as it may be too offensive or affect your mental health. It’s all about being politically correct in 2023.

Of course I don’t support toxic and abusive behaviours. It’s not acceptable in any way. You have 2 choices, confront your boss in a professional way or leave. The world doesn’t end with a bad workplace, but it’s your choice to accept it to the point it drains the life out of you or leave. There will always be a “bad” boss and let’s not even talk about real life jobs compared to television jobs. The other day, my boss sent me a long ass email telling me what I’ve done wrong and it truly made me feel like ****. I had 2 choices, either ignore it and let it affect me or respond and explain in a professional way as he misunderstood. I replied, I explained, apologised if it seemed I’ve done anything my way without speaking to him and then he replied back saying sorry, he knows I’m a genuine guy and I am taking accountability of my actions. He realised he misunderstood and was wrong. The point is, people should also “confront” in certain situations and own it. If you don’t like something or you find yourself in a bad place, speak up. You sitting there and taking it all in, waiting for rolling stones to do an investigation only shows you’re as toxic as that workplace.

Please dear karma don't get me but I've always seriously DESPISED him as an interviewer and a human being. Just watch how he always turn the attention to HIM in each interview and game. I love talk shows and he actually gives me vibes worse than letterman.

The amount of times he interrupted people just to get attention. It's like a little kid.

At least Ellen was actually a good interviewer and professional to a certain degree.

I’m sorry that you are miserable and feel stuck at whatever horrible workplace you are mistreated at. Your need to project on people who are brave and come forward about their damaging experiences is very telling.

Mental health is as important as physical health and safety. Would you agree with someone’s boss slapping the **** out of them on the daily? I don’t think so. A workplace is not meant to be oppressive and damaging. You are such a loser oh my god ew :rip:

After how many years of working there and “suffering”? You don’t see the point do you?

take it up with your boss if u got the balls, if not, no point in complaining. Jimmy Fallon is the last problem on earth, let’s talk about real abuse and real issues at a work place. Not these tired ass people wanting to be pampered 24/7 and when they got an issue, they won’t speak up.

I’m not sure if you are intentionally trolling or just projecting. Either way, it’s appalling.

“take it up with your boss if you have the balls”…. Did you read any of what happened? The situations were repeatedly reported to HR. And what happened? HR told higher ups and used intimidation to keep people quiet otherwise they would be immediately terminated.

People DID “have the balls” and even if they didn’t, there is no justification for that behavior. When someone is physically assaulted should they “have the balls” to tell the perpetrator “don’t do that again! Bad!” or should they tell the police, hoping to receive justice in an orderly and finite matter? I think you know the answer, loser.

You sound like you are projecting. I hope you grow the balls to leave whatever toxic workplace you are in. Just because YOU seemingly enjoy being mistreated doesn’t mean others need to :coffee:

Then leave. Why would you get stuck in a situation that doesn’t benefit you in any way?

I don’t and will never tolerate toxic workplaces, but you have a choice to stay or to leave.

No matter how many years the staffers were working on that show, they are ALLOWED to speak up against Fallon and his work culture :skull:

The article also said that many of these staffers voiced their concerns through HR complaints so yes, they did, in fact spoke up but sadly the problems are still there. But i guess it doesn't enough for you because they didn't say it RIGHT in front of his face :skull:

You're trying SO HARD to be a contrarian to the point that you blaming the workers who has been dealt with this situation and not the actual people who created the toxic environment in the first place because what? the workers are a bunch of "lazy gen z"?!

So much for "lEt’S tAlK aBoUt ReAl AbUsE aNd ReAl IsSuEs At A wOrK pAaCe" huh

Most of them DID leave. :rip: Majority of the people who RS talked to were ex-employees.

Even after you've left a job an ex-employee has every right to open up about how much the workplace sucked to other people. People in regular jobs are allowed to do this as well and do it, whether telling people in their personal life why their last job sucked or writing on job search sites why the company is good or not good to work for, if their pay was competitive, etc. If anything a lot of these people are trying to warn others if their experience was really bad. What's wrong with exposing the truth about a bad workplace to others? It's best to just hide it away and pretend it's not? That just allows bad workplaces to continue being bad, if not get worse. Workplaces only change bad behavior when they get called out for it.

I'm over these flustered ex-employees 'exposing' their former workplace... why is it they spill only after leaving? Be thankful someone was putting food in your mouths you ungrateful f**ks!

EVERYONE complains about their former workplaces... every.single.person

NDA - every company has something stipulated in their contracts that forbids them from speaking out. Also, people aren't going to speak out about this hellish workplace they're working at until they have left the company and are more financially-stable.

Exactly what I've been thinking all these years. The way he always inserts himself into whatever narrative there is and interrupts people constantly is such an attention seeking move that makes me cringe every time. Never had good vibes from him.

These conversations should be held within work circles though. With the way cancellation on the internet works, Jimmy does not deserve to lose his career if the extend of the "abuse" was him being drunk and somewhat rude to people. If it got sexual or violent then sure expose him, but there are things that do not warrant cancellation, yet networks won't risk their reputation and will easily cut him off if this gets bigger.
