It's the BET Hip Hop Awards (not the main awards show), Cardi isn't performing there.

I just realized you just joined in 2022. The threads on Cardi are just the tip of the iceberg compared to how many threads there were on Nicki. Folks are just bored of calling her a flop because they now realize that she has solidified herself regardless of how many flop songs she drops, and because they've run out of fat and old jokes. But yh, this was happening with Nicki for over 5 years since 2017, and it was much more intense. Barbs are super nice compared to how nasty some bardigangs were. I remember I kept telling them to be humble, and everyone flops, but they continued with the jokes, gifs etc for years. It started to reduce sometime last year especially when she dropped hot ****.  I dont think cardi is over, i just think the song will underperform, which happens to all artists. There is no need for coping mechanisms or delusional statements. Theres already several mentions of nicki here, and nobody cares about dragging her for LTISY because it wasnt promoted as a lead single, and because we all know she would be fine regardless.

Twitter folks are always going to hate on something.  This song is just more of the same, it's not "bad", and I don't think people hate it. It's kinda like when Taylor dropped "Me" when people were ready for her to do something different. It will eventually find its audience and stabilize.

BET Hip Hop Awards are considered low rent and are pre taped, even when Cardi performed there in 2018 her performance was at a club and it was taped way in advance, every now and then they may get an A-list star to appear but most of the time the rappers don’t go or even acknowledge the show.
