Europe Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Actor Timothée Chalamet became a breakthrough star in 2017 after starring in the coming-of-age film Call Me By Your Name. Then, at only 22 year old, he earned an Academy Award nomination for his part in the film, making him the youngest Best Actor nominee since 1939. Chalamet has been on a hot streak ever since, earning glowing reviews for his roles in Beautiful Boy as well as Lady Bird and Little Women. In October 2021, he starred in a film adaptation of the novel Dune, which was received with appreciation. He is shaping up to be the only young male actor in Hollywood with name recognition and star power, but what does ATRL think of him?
orange22 Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 You can’t put on a Michael Cera wig and be Michael Cera 1
Aston Martin Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 I feel like the entertainment industry wants me to find him more interesting than he actually is. 14
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 He got the best Talent Agency in Hollywood for someone like him 2
Tylerbv Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 I’ve never seen him act but that tweet about him looking like a Victorian era schoolboy lives rent free in my head 1
DamianSolo Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 I'm not sold on him just yet. His acting falls flat for me; his delivery is so lifeless. I'm looking forward to Wonka, because I love the material and all, but I don't know... I'm not too enthused about him being in the titular role after seeing the trailer. But he could surprise me. We'll have to see... 1
Terrielle Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Cute, would do ha. He's a decent actor, not bad by any means. 1
k4rmabutterfly Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 He’s building a nice career tbh, probably the most relevant male movie star we’ve had in ages. 2

besaid Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Big time industry plant energy. Something about him irks me. 3
nostalgic Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 He's cute and talented but a little overrated. 1
X~MoviePoP Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Amazing actor fit for certain roles. I dont see him ever being able to age up to a dad role until hes 50 tho. Hes the ultimate twink. 1
Maxxxine Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 I don’t get the hype. Can’t act. And he looks like a young, malnourished migrant Eastern European woman carrying the burdens of the world during the Great Depression. 5
JustLikeHoney Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 I think he a a very good actor but overrated. He isn't as good as people make him out to be and he always plays the "troubled son." Even this next version about Willie Wonka. It's the troubled son version. 1
glitch Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 No thoughts on his acting as I haven't seen enough of his stuff to comment, but he's got a very peculiar laugh and that's all I can hear every time he's mentioned 1
