I don’t think she’d shade a girl who praised and loved her since day one. Doja isn’t Nicki’s enemy however the conspiracy theories about payola radio or Spotify are tiring, she acts she isn’t one of the most supported artists and is back up with the biggest label in the world.  You’re not an indie artist.

It really doesn't match. Cardi earned the right to get priority treatment at Atlantic if she finally decides to drop a song after 2.5 years.

 

It's giving shade towards her Princess and sons named Ice and Doja. But don't be surprised if Nicki is mad about Latto getting a #1 collab and clear backing from RCA.

She was responding directly to Barb questions pressing her about promotion, so she didn’t just mention this out of nowhere.
 

She expressed that she’s not concerned about the performance of this song, she’s surprised & thankful at the positive reception & went on to explain that even without the push singles from other artists get, it was performing fairly comparatively & debuting higher, without video, rotation & any playlisting. This applies to anyone, where’s the shade? 
 

She wanted to put out a song about grief that anyone could relate to. And she did that. 
 

“Failing podcast”, but they stay tuned in, her name stays on their lips, and she keeps them hanging on every word she casually mumbles in between ice chews & blunt drags, lol.
