smartalek22 Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 (edited) After a long array of monstrous hits, it seems her latest single 'Bad Idea Right' seems to be performing a bit worse than anything she's put out prior. Is this just an one-off flop in her career or the beginning of her commercial downfall? I think she could've been much bigger if there wasn't such a wait between Sour and Guts. whiteferrari Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 For me it seems like the singles so far haven't had the "wow amazing" factor that SOUR had 3
Johnny Jacobs Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 She will be successful still but it will have like half the power of what SOUR did
lacy Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Bad idea right was a promo single, her lead for this era is still doing amazing, having just secured #1 in the uk yesterday, she will be staying I fear
Post Malone Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Her sophomore album already has a #1 hit (or a hit in general) and not every sophomore album can relate 3
Katamari Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 The music industry is unpredictable. You can a flop one week and have a number one the next week honestly maybe but really who knows 2
Solaria Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Y'all gonna look foolish with these threads when Get Him Back! comes out.. it's designed to be a monstrous hit, it will likely be No.1 for 10 weeks 1 1
Beyonnaise Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Seeing as she can’t get a lasting hit in her second era…

aesthetic bih Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Yeah, she still feels relevant. She just needs the right song to smash again. (Not like Vampire and BIR were flops by any means)
luckythisway Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 If she wasn’t going to serve reinvention, why did she take such a long break? She should’ve capitalized on her momentum
collin Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 It doesn’t feel like it but she could do it, won’t count her out.

Feanor Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Not at the level of 'SOUR' of course, but I can see her retain the status she currently enjoys for a few more albums.
Luckitty Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 bad idea right is a promo single and still outcharted some pop girls' lead singles

Asscatchem Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 i like bad idea right but vampire was not worth the wait. this whole project couldve been the evermore to sour's folklore that came out q4 2021
Jjang Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 We can only answer this after the album is out.
AvadaKedavra Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 If she works with someone Like Max Martin and goes poppier she will Her rock is great but that type of sound is not that popular. Is very niche today She should move with the trends
