Onyxmage Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Probably because this is around the time I came out (to myself). These albums really spoke to me. 1

zasderfght Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Miley Cyrus- Plastic Hearts I'm in a happy relationship, but even my boyfriend and close family/friends know I kind of wear the pants in the relationship. And that's intentional. I like being in control of myself. I like being in control of the relationship (within reason). And I'm just super independent. I can literally take care of myself and regulate my emotions in a healthy. I feel Miley felt the most liberated and at peace with herself. And really came into her own on this one. I feel like I'm that person now. Lady Gaga- Chromatica Gaga talks about mental health struggles on 911, not wanting to be betrayed on Plastic Doll in relationships, and triumphing through all this (which is the album concept-- anything is possible in Chromatica). I struggle with mental illness (anxiety and depression, particularly) and have chronic pain like Gaga, so this album is a very cathartic and relatable listen to me. People find it corny or whatever, but as someone who's not a stan of any artist-- I just like pop music, this one speaks to me and it's a fun record.
