I mean, Canada isn’t all rainbows. I’d feel more comfortable being gay in a city like NYC than rural Alberta.

"Some states have enacted laws and policies that may affect 2SLGBTQI+ persons"

What does this mean?  This is why I use the word queer.  I can't keep up with the evolving letter (and apparently number?) chain.

As a gay man I’d rather be in the USA than Canada that’s for sure

Yeah ok. Canada and it’s constant pretending like they’re way above the US on social issues will always be hilarious to me no matter how “inclusive” their racist president is in his pre-written speeches :rip:

But nobody would put out travel advisories for Canada since nobody goes there.

What do you mean "evolving letter (and apparently number?) chain"...nothing here is new.

"2S" (Two-Spirit) has always been in there just not always at the front. LGBTQI+ is right there after it, and I'm pretty sure you've seen that before.

A lot of these rebuttals don't really say much except that you don't understand what a travel advisory actually is and does.

Canada can have its own problems and the travel advisory can also put this out.

Plus in this very article it states:

"The largest LGBTQ advocacy organization in the United States, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), has declared a national state of emergency, citing the proliferation of legislation in state capitols aimed at regulating the lives of queer people."

So why wouldn't it be included in the travel advisory?

Canada can have its own problems and terrible people and the travel advisory can also put this out. Are any Canadian provinces doing what they say some states are?

Can we all start using the 2S in front of LGBTQIA+? I just read about it and I think it would be respectful.
