That I dont know. Combs airplay being stronger at HAC & AC and weaker at/less T40 based than Last Night will help Fast Car last longer at radio. FC also had a higher MB AI peak, 100.60 v 96.75. Even when T40 pulls away, and if its quick like LN, FC wont plunge on AI cause of its AC/HAC/Country strength. AC & HAC hold onto their songs forever, love successful Country crossovers & AC loves 80s. With its fans increased use of streaming, now Country holds onto its biggest hits nearly as long as T40. Since LN & FC are 2 of Country's all time biggest hits, Country will keep playing both to keep listeners. So FC could hover around in the Top 5 for a while.

Part of me wonders if Fast Car is too long of a song for present day radio. In an era when stations want to keep songs around or under 3 mins, FC is over 4 & there's no radio edit available. I don't know if that's a problem but its definitely a very long song for late 2023.

This is strange. Don't we normally have the final Hot 100 predictions by now? We had the Global 200 very early this morning & even already have 16 Sep early predicts.

 

EDIT: Clearly the Cruel Summer v Last Night finish is super close. That was why we waited.
