S1 was inconsistent but overall good and the lead gave a very heartbreaking performance.

 

The rest of the series was already doomed cause there was no possible way they could drag this show for so long, and each season got worse than the previous one.

 

S2 was boring mess, S3 was a disaster giving the rapist a whole ass redemption arc, and S4 was a ******* parody and disrespectful joke in every sense, with the exception of the Clay and Justin storyline which I would say is the only plot through the entirety of the series that was worth for how they developed two unlikely characters' relationship, even if people criticize what they did in S4.

Season one was excellent and I will forever defend it. The other seasons had its ups and downs but the actor who played Tyler was wonderful in the third season.

I don't think the show in it self was horrible, and I know it got a lot of defenders saying it didn't actually glorify suicide... But it did though

I mean, all US high school tv shows are automatically sent straight to my "ignore" list so I wouldn't know because I haven't watched, but I assume it can't be any worse than all the other carton copies.
