Wow

spectacular sabotage

the release date is set in stone for the geepee already, the 2 trailers did wonders in terms of virality

delaying is just mudding the waters and ruining the superb marketing so far + momemtum

nobody cares about interviews, tv promo or red carpets in this day and age

especially for big blockbusters like this

only trailers and social media engagement matters.

This.

Maybe they’re also concerned about missing out on awards season.

Is it already filmed? If not there’s still time to dump Florence Pugh and get ATJ as Princess Irulan!!

Mmm, true but also not true at all. Barbie wouldn't have been the same success without Ryan Gosling endlessly talking about his "Kenergy" or Margot Robbie's fashion choices. Dune have Zendaya, Timothee, Florence Pugh AND Austin Butler so of course they need the promo cycle.

Anyways, f+ck these studios. Greedy ass motherf+ckers.

I'm actually surprised it is March and not later, I was expecting them to move it to May so it could have a big and splashy Cannes premiere.

i ******* hate the studios for doing this. the fact that they can do it so last minute. I hope it flops to oblivion.

Hopefully the strike negotiations are determined before then. I wish they would have released the movie earlier this summer.

Thus summer was crowded af. No way would Dune had done good.

OT: this makes sense. The actors aren't available right now and the negotiations with the WGA aren't looking good. I'm expecting the holiday season to start looking barren soon.

Oscars chances killed. 2 full trailers released for waste. Empire mag spread tomorrow, well, f*** that now.

6 weeks of solo IMAX play gone. Just pure stupidity.
