The highest peaking single of the era (yes it outpeaked Love Song) and went TRIPLE platinum :jonnycat:

Thank God she kept it

She snatched it right back out of Jordin Sparks’s hands. :clap3:

Jordin wasn't even releasing anything around that time, so why did she even have it? Battlefield was two years before Who Says, and then she disappeared for years.

You are more than welcome to take it up with Ms Sparks herself, thanks.

Jordin was working on a new album after Battlefield, but it ended up getting shelved so she probably was planning it on a new album.

Where is this from?

So interesting, at the time I felt like it was too bubblegum for her and expected a more mature sound as a lead but the song has stood the test of time. Crazy it's been 12+ years!

She was 19 yeah. She had served Rock God (co-written by Katy Perry) on her previous record so I thought she'd go for something riskier for the lead at least.

I'm surprised that she had to fight for it, cheesy songs with faux-empowering messages are exactly what Disney would usually want their stars to release. :rip:

Wait, I didn't know that

The vibrato, the riffs, the runs and high notes, she sounds so good on it... I've always hated the song and now I know why : it needed VOCALS :jonny5:
