Hello, TABSistrens!

We will now test once again how strong your artist catalog is and now it gets harder because we want you to send a song that will evoke our emotions and provoke our minds to reflect on life in general.

For this round, we want you to look at your artist's songs (singles or non-singles) and decide which among them can slay all of the other contenders for this round called "I GET SO EMOTIONAL"

 

It is the battle of emotional songs and in this round we want you all to focus on the emotion of SADNESS

You can send in ballads or slow songs, we will also accept upbeat ones if you are feeling risky at all. 

The theme of the song can be about heartbreak or grief or life regrets, etc.

Here is a friendly advice that you may or may not follow when picking for an entry this round:

Tempo - The speed or pace of a musical piece

Slow tempo: sadness, serenity, reflection
Mode - The type of scale

Minor tonality: sadness
Loudness - The physical strength and amplitude of a sound

at some point, you might need this element in your song to show intensity, power, strong emotions
Melody - The linear succession of musical tones that the listener perceives as a single entity

Complementing harmonies: happiness, relaxation, serenity. Clashing harmonies: excitement, anger, unpleasantness
Rhythm - The regularly recurring pattern or beat of a song

Smooth/consistent rhythm: happiness, peace. Rough/irregular rhythm: amusement, uneasiness. Varied rhythm: joy

What to Do?

1. Choose a SONG from your artist

Send us the Spotify Link or just give us the Song title on our Entry Submission PM.

2. You can discuss or ask for help from your camp if you are confused but still the final decision is yours to make.

3. No need for explanations. The song should speak for itself.

4.  SINGLES or NON-SINGLES will be accepted.

 

How does the Judging Work in this Round?

1. The judges will rank the sixteen entries from 1-16, each rank contributes to a certain point that will be added to your camp score.

2. The judges will rank on how they think which song has the strongest chance to contend for the top spot, not just how popular the single or how well-loved the non-single was - it might help but not the main factor in judging.

3. Make sure that the SONG is giving us sad vibes lyrically and sonically.
