The last song is doing better than the first from new project.

But She is still doing worst than her previous projects, so i don't think "she's doing better after dissing her fans and her old music" Is a true thing.

wasn't it clear that doja's popularity was never driven by her fans? the GP are the ones that listen to her songs, and they don't care about what she tweets or talks about.

ATRL and Stan Twitter thought the scandal was a bigger deal than it was, people who don't have unhinged delusional attachments to artists agreed with what she posted.

not surprised at all because PTTR is a bop, knew that on first listen

more often that not, the GP doesn't care about controversy as long as they enjoy the music. add in to the fact Doja is making very mainstream sounding music, despite claiming to be over the whole big-industry-popstar schtick

No, Paint the Town Red sounds just like all her other incredibly accessible and popular songs and some small controversy that most people don't know or care about wasn't going to make the Doja train (that's been chugging along since 2019) stop. :rip: She'll probably only start really flopping when she stops putting out music and collabs on a semi-regular basis.

It would've been #1 if she didn't diss her fans though - the song is that good, too bad she hindered its success

And her next follow-ups will definitely need to be excellent if she doesn't want an Attention part 2 flop
