They do sound like they are from their time

It's just that it's been so long since she had a hit that the music is comic back like it always does with 15+ year old music

So we all agree that she was best when she was still a Britney Spears parody? Cool.

I'm just playing anyway I actually do think all those songs sound dated but they were all part of the childhoods of the people that use streaming the most so I'm not surprised these classic throwbacks are getting the streams they're getting. I still use a big chunk of her discography, but not really any of this. Like Government Hooker for example is just ugh :alexz: Just Dance her catchiness is undeniable, though :jonnycat:

Im a day one listener so I can say for me personally Chromatica is her best album, I know people agree, but the strong tracks are some of the best of her career and I can tell she likes the music.

BTW the song (has aged bad), Judas and the other singles sound fresh.

The Fame/Monster is 50% for me.

Fiction can be fun

Not really. Those songs sound very much like songs of their time.

Kinda random but I’ve only just gotten into some older Gaga album tracks (embarrassing ik), and I LOVE Dope.

Do her fans generally like that song? I know Artpop is a contentious topic but that song is so mesmerising to me and I think it aged great too!

Her only really bad album is joanne

TFM and BTW are really good

Artpop and Chromatica while many people don’t like them you can enjoy them with the right mood.

I absolutely love Dope and its lyrics, not many are able to truly understand the despair and beauty of its meaning.

Streams will never be a reliable indicator of what aged like wine/milk :rip:

There are many song that sound old as f and that still get a ton of streams and there are some songs that aged incredibly well and aren’t streamed anymore.

It only is an indicator of which artists are used by the demographic that streams music.

By the way, aging does not mean a song isn’t good anymore. It means it sounds of its time. Lady Gaga’s discography definitely sounds dated, especially The Fame (Monster), eventhough that’s her best work.

This. And I'm gagging because this is coming from you.

Let's not forget about ASIB just because it's a ST.

Classics in there are insane.

I hope people don’t think of it as a silly weed song or something cos.. the emotion I can hear in her voice :weeps:

Her vocals in it kinda give me You and I vibes and that’s the song that has me listening to her older stuff rn.

I never bought into the dated narrative. Most of her music has held up and stood the test time.

OGHs pushed the narrative that Gaga's music had aged horribly for year and years.

It’s honestly quite crazy how stans are forever trying to invalidate Gaga and yet She has come to close to the bone for Madonna/BritneyTRL to handle and they need to work overtime I fear. All 3 women can exist together!

It has absolutely and it annoys me to no end that everyone will call any electropop song from the 2008-2012 era ‘dated’

Just because something sounds dated doesn't mean it's not excellent.

This is a confusing thread, because aging like a fine wine refers to quality, not success.

Well, quality and success both apply to Gaga's music so..
